340GH on my Iceriver KS0 Pro Kaspa ASIC! (Heavily Modified Vs. Mostly Stock part 1)

Published 2024-03-30
I am PUMPED that I was able to get my Iceriver KS0 Pro Commemorative Edition Kaspa ASIC overclocked to 340GH/s!! All the modifications were worth it and are working VERY NICELY to keep my Little Green Machine nice and stable even though I am abusing the crap out of the poor thing lol!

Stay tuned for my next video where I plan to overclock my other mostly stock KS0 Pro Green Machine to the max with JUST the Meter Box Shroud Kit and a couple fans! It'll be fun to see how far I can push it!

Single AC Infinity AXIAL S1238, 120mm Muffin Fan with Speed Controller. This is an option if you don't plan to aggressively overclock. You could mount this fan to the shroud kit or the top of the KS0 Pro!

THE COPPER HEATSINKS ABOVE HAVE BEEN SOLD OUT FOR A WHILE!! HERE IS AN ALTERNATIVE THAT SHOULD WORK IN A PINCH. I WILL BE TESTING THESE IN THE NEAR FUTURE. These come with tape, which I have been told works but I still prefer a more permanent solution like the thermal glue I have listed above MECCANIXITY Copper Heatsink 6x6x5mm amzn.to/4aAtKuY

  • I was pumped to get 340 Gh/s out of my GREEN MACHINE KS0 Pro! Have you tried these mods yet???
  • @tylerp7336
Awesomeness on the high hash rate. Well done GGM. Nice to see you showing us the interface side of things also. I learned a lot. Thanks for the vid BP!

I really like how you figured out how to mount those internal fans externally and also keep the protective grill! I'm gonna do the same for mine. I've got one KS0 Pro up to 320 Gh/s, but I'm not even pushing it. I use a variable power supply and lower the voltage from 19 to 16 to get cooler temps, but that increases the input current. Those barrel connectors are only good up to 10 Amps, so I keep them at 9 amps max. I think I'm going to mod the power connector so I don't have to worry about the power plug getting too hot. I'll remove the power connector and solder the power cable right to the circuit board. Love your content.

hell yea! Good man! gotta move them lil stock fans to the outside and increase that air flow
  • @fullyelectric
GGM Brother that is awesomeness 👍 rock on brother!!
  • @Pepaw-Bill
Why did you go with Farmers OC vs Tswift’s OC’s. Does Farmers OC not charge a fee? Or is it that you can get more hash rate ? I do love Farmers gui layout and the temps charts, much better that the ice river.

@GreaterGoodMining Has anyone tried removing the paint between the thermal paste and asic for a better heat transfer? Just wondering if the black or green paint won't allow a good transfer
  • @WindowsWizardry
Please do same overclock for ks1 we are interested to see the result coz we did used old overclock
  • @joseongjr9551
I just try couple of minutes just to see the actual OC of FPB Farmer but I need to buy all of heatsink, thermal pad, Fan Case and fan too so it's work on KSo Pro(Black Case)

@GreaterGoodMining i have a question. im looking for the files in the /var/update folder of a KS0.. (the OG). lets say someone deleted some files in there and the machine is not starting anymore.. thinking it might start to work again if i put them back. I can still reach the filesystem, but hard reset no worky anymore and no KS0 og in my neighbourhood i could get them from. And here is me hoping a random Kaspa yt-ber might be able to help with those. Im grasping at straws i know but iceriver isnt responding as i would have liked :p.
  • @wolverine1981pl
10:27 what setting did you used to achive that hashrate? whats the power consumption
  • @kasual7626
Anyway to get the firmware with out over clocking but still giving me the extra graphs and dark mode?
  • any reason why after i did the firmware and it reboots it says "machine is offline"?
  • @tombuseck
I got 355gh/s using the tswift firmware 😎
  • @mozzarella84
What is the difference in dev fee for PB wnd Tswift
  • @Baerchenization
I do not think this is a good idea. I have 12 OCed machines running for months, but the first one now started to stop hashing. Obviously it is getting slow-cooked... it still runs at stock now. But if you have experience with OCing, which I had done extensively with CPUs in the past, you will know that CPUs may age rather quickly. So you will be out of luck with your warranty if you cook that thing (actually you are already out of warranty once you start OCing), I would not push these so high. You might regret it in a few weeks.
