What I love about this show is that the friendship feels more realistic and genuine, unlike other anime's where the characters would always be rude, a-holes, rivals or have tension with each other, and not acting very friendly, even if they've known each other for a long time.

Shinomiya must've seen Kafka as a father figure, the way he protected her and gave her credit for carrying the battle field for as long as she did. You could see her character soften up and I've been enjoying her character.

There will be 12 episodes for season 1 (according to MAL) and apparently production for season 2 is already underway (according to leakers on X) but given how many chapters are out right now and the pace it's going at (about 3-3.5 chapters per episode) season 2 will probably also only be 12 episodes
