Hippie Town? Not anymore, last of the hippies are pretty much gone, as one of the last hippies still living here, I'll definitely miss it but its changed too much to stay. We started a successful business here, so unfortunately we have to commute from wherever we decide to call home next.

DON'T GO UP TO THE MOUNTAIN TOP WITHOUT ME (C)2006 This is a song written about the events of June 1971 in the mountains of Neitherlands Colorado .😢

Lived there for 26 years, just moved last july. Great town but not the same anymore. Too many people, and housing prices are insane. Winters are brutal!

Ok. I'm a total VW fan! And really a hippie at heart. So I need to visit this town. I really want to see that VW. And I truly love visiting old towns.

The name “Nederland” was a jest by the Dutch miners working up at the Hendricks mine in Caribou City, they were up at tree line so coming back down to 8600 feet was going to the lowlands, or, “Nederland”. Also the reservoir that is owned by City of Boulder used to be where the Ute and Arapaho would pitch tents to trade with the settlers/miners. The land there is beautiful and the wildlife is amazing.
