The Shriver Center issued a report in February of 2015 entitled "When Discretion Means Denial: A National Perspective on Criminal Records Barriers to Federally Subsidized Housing." The report issues a series of recommendations to HUD that are based on the criminal records policies employed by Public Housing Authorities and private owners participating in the federally subsidized housing programs. The report's author, Marie Claire Tran-Leung, as well as the Shriver Center's Director of Housing Justice, Kate Walz, will be here to present their findings as well as their recommendations.
