  • Linda, you should look into using cardboard and deep compost for making your beds. Much less weed pressure that way and weeding will be easier in the long run. Only maintenance needed is adding a 1" layer of new compost each fall and occasional weeding. Check out Charles Dowding's channel for inspiration. No dig/deep compost system would work really well for your purposes IMO.
