They may lack the celeb status of other biblical figures, but Ezra and Nehemiah were major players in the Jewish story. Despite being relegated to the last pages of the Bible, they were men on a mission: Nehemiah to rebuild the ruined city of Jerusalem; Ezra to rebuild the Jewish soul. You've seemed to have omitted the Book of Daniel part of the whole Cyrus prophesy
  • Interesting, I just had my firstborn 4 months ago and that’s what I name him, Nehemiah ❤️

Miss/Madam, I have been watching the whole series of the videos that you made on the topic of Jewish history (havent finished totally). I must say these videos provide me a great knowledge about the ancient history of Jewish people according to their scriptures. Thanks a lot for this series of videos. However, I would like to point out, there are several inconsistencies (or, contradictions) in the timeline you say (eg. At 4:12 , you mentioned 50 years after the end of construction of the second temple (ie, 516 BCE, as you also mentioned) - so it should be around 466 BCE, but in the video you showed the year 566 BCE, which creates problem/confusion for new learner like me. There were several inconsistencies in the timeline in the previous videos also (where the time of occurrence of an event varied between two videos). Please clarify the actual timeline in the comment section. It will help me a lot. Thanks again for this amazing series. It really helped me a lot to gather key info about the topic (all concentrated in a series of videos) and made me keenly interested in the topic.

Love your presentation of these two books. Your presentation style is so good. I love your energy and voice.. easy to stay interested with you speaking. Thank you!
  • I am not Jewish but this beautiful piece of history sounded like music to my ears and I love Jewish people and everything about their culture but mainly their God is my God and His Son is my God along with His Spirit who now abides in my heart forever
  • I would be careful with trying to ascribe "motive" to kings actions based on historical events only. Cyrus's move to build the temple may have resulted in more wealth through trade, but that doesn't mean that's the motive. God doesn't have a habit of speaking His word uselessly. He called out Cyrus by name and revealed His word in a powerful way to Cyrus. That may have been the primary motive and the trade become the blessing after his obedience.

Loved hearing you tell the story and making it more real with the video graphics. Please recreate more Biblical stories!
  • Thank you for the history lesson. BTW: Nice shelving units behind you!
  • @BennyBNYC
I love the history of the old testament and Jewish history in general. This is my current obsession

NEHEMIA WAS THE GOVERNOR OF YUDEA, AND RECIEVED APPROVAL FROM KING CYRUS, NOT EZRA!
  • @slydesplaylists
This is quite a lot of battle damage assessment, a lot of people have faith this did happen and the local garrison defending new building before being trained properly is probably why I like this.
  • I have read these books, so much detail people tend to overlook. Amazing!
  • Jesus love you, he died on the cross for you, accept him as your lord and savior he can change everything. For God so loved the world that he gave his only son, so that everyone who believes in him may not perish but may have eternal life" (Jn 3:16" But you must repent too. From that time Jesus went about preaching and saying, Let your hearts be turned from sin, for the kingdom of heaven is near. (Matthew 4:17)…
  • You’re good teacher.i Learning lots from you..thank you so much..
