Model 3 Highland is much improved than the previous version. It is actually designed in China, and has been available in China and Europe for a few months. Ride comfort and noise insulation is much improved. Hopefully it will come to NA soon.

The one thing that's a deal breaker for me is the lack of parking sensors. When parking in a garage or even parking anywhere, they are helpful and found on most cars. I have a Model 3, but I specifically bought a used 2021 because it still has the sensors and stalks. It's a great car. Not interested in the new versions.

Maybe the Tesla service improved since last time you used it? I actually love their service, especially the mobile service.
  • Realize E for Electric is not a Tesla fan, it always shows. Not saying Tesla is perfect, it's not, but it's a great vehicle in my opinion. Own a 22 model 3 RWD with LFP battery pack and really like it. Have not had any issues. Body panel fit is not up to German car manufacturers standards but, didn't buy to be a show car. Believe the 24 will be a big leap forward.

Blind spot indicators are included on the model 3 refresh. You are trashing the new model 3 for missing a feature it actually has. Poorly researched Con.
  • When the host said now for the cons, me: that was the pros 😂😂😂

keeping your hands on the wheel requirement was most likely implemented after too many people were spotted sleeping while driving a tesla. sure, people can STILL sleep while driving and holding on to the wheel or others can still find a way to get over that requirement, but one cannot blame tesla for at least trying to deal with that issue. overall, i believe that the pros for regular updates vastly makes up for any cons. its just that its so easy to not notice the good and only focus on the bad.
  • @ChicagoBob123
I think you made an error. I think there is a blind side alert but not in the mirror, on the door jam.
  • @ScottHartman
FWIW the Highland Model 3 does have a blind spot indicator. It's located on the A pillar rather than the mirror, but otherwise works identically.

After not being able to use a magic dock to charge my 2023 bolt euv, I question which non-teslas can utilize the supercharger network. My Chevy service tech said it won't work on the magic dock system.

Regarding the EPA mileage being too high, it may be that the EPA runs it until it dies rather than until the icon says 0%, and since Teslas have more remaining range at 0% than most cars, that may explain the discrepancy.
  • @directorjustin
It's still up in the air whether non-Teslas will charge as well as Teslas on the Supercharger network. For all we know, many of the same issues that plague non-Teslas when charging on third party networks could also happen when charging on Superchargers, or new and unforseen problems could occur. Tesla won't have any control over other brand's vehicles and how they communicate with Tesla's hardware, so it's going to be a new thing for both Tesla and non-Tesla EVs. We'll just have to wait and see.

having to share a car with my wife, i find it amazing that all settings, except the rear view mirror, adjust back to me before i even sit in the car. I have apple car play in my 2018 volt, worst thing ever. can’t update it, always looses connection, gps goes off when i get call. point is my 2018 tesla has all the updates, and even for multiple users. if i’m on a call when i get in the car, it asks if i want to switch over. but nothing compares to the ID4 updates ;)
  • @strangefire2024
i'm looking forward to seeing the Model 3 and Model Y with M3P batteries made by CATL.
  • @1688soccer
The absence of Apple and and is android CarPlay is not a big issue since Tesla is also using google map and support YouTube, Apple Music, etc

Hi Alex, I have highland Model 3 from Shanghai the cheapest version 42k euro, has about 400km (on paper 513km) of real world range, currently we are in winter here in Croatia so when summer comes will be better maybe. Signal for blind spot is there in highland version, you have a little red light near the side mirrors. Initially I didn't see it and I was turning while the car was in blind spot and Model 3 prevented me, and kept me in my line :). The price is very good for highland version because all features that it has other gas versions need to pay 10k more and for VW the delivery time for some models is catastrophic about 1 year (I was looking for Arteon). The blinkers Im in adoption faze will see in next 6 months but for sure for people that don't like the changes will probably need accessories for it, I think there is already some plan from third party companies :).
  • @chriso847
Alex. Not sure if this is your Jam, but I would love to hear your take on why not a single new charging station has been built with all the IRA money. It’s been two years. WTF?
