These are the works off the farmers and gardeners,they have Planted in large areas or places because their aim will like to sales it to the customers after ward. Once the crops was not finish for daily's dishes,they sometimes soaked(salted)to preserve it from rotten so that you can keep it for longer time. We (the families)have done that every year during the farming season.We have used smaller than yours called (Ensabi)It can lives in ashort period,as long as a month. After bearing flowers/seeds they almost going to die. Soaking(salted)to prevent from rotten.(kasam)

It seems everything around you Miss Ca is happy and healthy! Fron the pigs, ducks, chickens to the dogs and cats! I think even your vegetables was a little taller and greener as you picked them!
