This song makes me wanna cry every time. No matter who's version or where I hear it. Our world is in so much pain right now. People are separated from their loved ones, innocent people are dying, racism is still real, covid-19 has killed so many, our people are suffering. This song came out at the right time and season. When I was at my lowest and couldn’t even pray for myself, some stranger set up his loudspeaker on the corner of our street. This hymn played and weeks leading up to that moment I had this hymn on repeat trying to hold onto what faith I could hold onto then when I was broken God let’s a stranger come play this. It was the first and last time someone set up a loudspeaker in our street. I tell you God is our buckler. I will never be able to unknow how Good God is and how much He loves us.
