In our biggest retrospective yet, we gather all of the Spider-Man games from 2000 and on to celebrate Spider-Man 2's release. Naturally, Retro Rebound is the home to a ton of Spider-Man content, but this labor of love is our favorite project yet. We sincerely hope you enjoy this breakdown of every game featuring our favorite webhead.

Spider-Man ps1, ps2 and gamecube were my childhood. The amount of rage i had running from Doc Ock with that janky backwards camera and being a dumb a kid who thought i could only do one save per save file slot. I didnt know you could over write saves so i beat the game and got every costume by no lifing the game and keeping my playstation on over night til i beat it and they did a new save.

The PS1 game is truly special. Neversoft was underappreciated

I had the PS1 version of the game, I can't imagine the game without the voiced cutscenes, they're so iconic.

I totally forgot Vicarious Visions worked on Spidey. Rest in peace, what a great studio it was.

Venom used to scared the hell out of me on n64 😂

Ultimate Spider-Man is easily my favorite pre-Insomniac title. Visually, it's easily aged, probably the best of any of the Activision stuff, and mechanically it probably had the most skill-based web swinging and combat of any of those games. It was also really cool having Venom as a playable character whose story happened in parallel with Parker. In general it seems like Insomniac took the most notes out of this game's gameplay and just the Ultimate Spider-Man universe in terms of how they made their own take on the character. Playing Spider-Man 2 right now and having a blast

Dude Ultimate Spiderman was the game I played the most on my Gamecube. It was so good. Agreed this screams remaster. I'd buy it instantly. Classic video game.

One of my first memories is playing Spider-Man on the ps1. Loved it so much. It also made me a hugeeeee Spider-Man fan and then Rami pushed that to a whole new level😂

Spider-Man 64 was my first ever game. My dad surprised me with it one evening when I was 5 years old. Seeing this game again for the first time it years… wow. What good memories
  • I love that you call Spider-Man on the N64 Spider-Man 64. Me and my siblings did the same and it was also what made us fall in love with the wall crawler.
  • Hearing Stan Lees voice made me emotional and nostalgic… what a time. Game aside, RIP Stan

As a 22 Year old man… playing the new Spider-Man 2 2023 on my 2nd play through.. it’s a crazy feeling.. seeing how it started to NOW!!.. it’s beautiful., it’s honestly heart warming too and crazy to see all these older childhood gems still being talked about and appreciated.. My first real introduction into the Spiderman games were both SpiderMan Friends & Foe plus the original spider-man 2/3 games.. beautiful games. 😊

The Amazing Spiderman (first) game is an overlooked gem. In my opinion, it doesn't get the love it deserves.

Man Matt you always know how to bring nostalgic in gaming because Spider-Man PS1 and Spider-Man Shattered Dimensions are both my nostalgic type of games as a child throughout my teen years
  • My favorite is and probably always will be Spider-Man 2000 on PlayStation 1
