The former prime minister revealed he faced challenges with his mental health during his time in office.
“It’s typical of Scott Morrison – he’s someone committed to the truth,” Mr Richardson told Sky News Australia.
“He couldn’t tell a lie if he tried.
“That’s why he’s been a friend of mine for many, many years.”
