Dr. Reid is a scientist with his heart in the right place. He provided good information about probiotics as well as about doing good for the world.
  • @TdV89
Man what a timing! I am literal on my way to the hopsital for the 2nd time this week because of a severe inflammation. The antibiotica doesn’t seem to work. Can’t wait to devour this episode!
  • I am soooooo confused. I honestly don't know what the message was that Dr. Reid delivered, other than, we don't know much of anything. "'Probiotics are inside us.' No they're not. 'Probiotics are in fermented foods.' No they're not." I truly appreciate that so many of you apparently got so much out of this interview; I wanted, to, as well. But ... all I kept hearing was, there's no answers. There's no rock-solid information. It's up to the next generation of scientists. Wouldn't it be great if we could do an experiment that ... Also, he noted that a legitimate probiotic fermented food should state on the label how many each strain of microbiotic should still be active at the end of shelf life; has anybody else seen this information, ever? I just checked all the fermented foods I have in my refrigerator, all by what I think are legit and reputable sources, and none of them say any such thing. A long way around to what i said to start: I am sooooo confused.
  • This dude's passion came through so clearly. I love how Rich listened.

Yes I completely healed my gut in some weeks, added kimchi, milk kefir, kombucha in my daily meals and NEVER have any issues more, now I do it all by myself and all can because its simple and better than baught one! Thank you!!!❤❤❤❤
  • Very interesting session thanks for the conversation and "seed"
  • Thank you for this fascinating interview. Rich Roll and staff are the best!! Dr Gregor Reid is clear and concise which is unusual for a genius.

I think probiotics are exciting and my wife is taking them for her liver cancer but I had crohn’s for 28 years an no probiotic work, the reason I believe for this is because my micro biome was trashed. It wasn’t until 9 years ago I became a plant based vegan that my crohns vanished. Now probiotics help but you can’t put probiotics into such a damaged system and expect miracles. Just before becoming vegan I was really considering doing a fecal transplant 😅
  • 1 cup non sugar yogurt add 1/2 cup well cooked quinoa mix with salt , spoon dry mint, spoon dry dill , dash of cumin powder! Enjoy
  • @earthmamma85
What would you recommend to someone suffering from histamine intolerance who can’t have fermented foods and certain foods without a reaction.
  • Middle easterner people eat fresh live yogurt daily, and made fresh once every 2 weeks ! Laban- yogurt , 1 cup no sugar mix with 3 small cucumbers cut very small, spoon of dry mint , dash of salt mix well , optional drizzle olive oil , eat alone or with crackers, pita bread
  • @TM-gs4jy
I took a ‘women’s health probiotic’ off the shelf prophylacticly (I was symptom free before these meds) and subsequently developed a vaginal infection!!!??? 🇨🇦
  • @deela3615
Awesome interview. We have so much more learn on this subject. It's like adventuring out in space, only it's our inner space. And what could be more personal than that!
  • Oh man, get Sabina on with this guy! Excellent! She wrote the book “let’s talk shit” and is on the cutting edge of gut micro biome and fecal transplants
