Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass is expected to meet with the county's Board of Supervisors and other local leaders to address how LA will tackle its homelessness crisis in the wake of Gov. Gavin Newsom's executive order calling for the clearing of encampments. A recent U.S. Supreme Court decision gave a legal pathway to the governor's order, which Bass has been critical of while other local leaders such as County Supervisor Kathryn Barger have shown support.

This is all for optics. If there is no plan for relocating they are just going to pop up

What a piece of political grandstanding. People better take note: they'll have compassion as long as the optics are good. But if there's a change in the wind you can f right off

Law enforcement has important things to do and they need to tell NEWSOM to house the homeless and to give the homeless money NEWSOM stole to the DISTRICT'S for housing the homeless Americans

Good. Clean that stuff up.. with shelter assistance. Clean it up
  • There are 75,000+ homeless people in LA. No one wants encampments near homes yet where could the people possibly go? Sweeps to just get rid of people does not seem like the right thing to do. Especially for homeless families with children. I worry about them.

Where will they go, you ask? Anywhere that my life isn't impacted by their poor drug fueled life CHOICES. There are millions of uninhabited acres available.
