The craziest thing about the Scott Cawthon cameo is that Scott NEVER shows his face on video. Hell, he barely has any public photos. It's nice that he let himself be filmed just for Matpat.

As a woman I just want to say that what Omni says at 26:20 doesn't just go for dudes! Lady's you need to ask for ID's too as well as asking for consent! This is a two way street ladies!

I don't think YouTubers should be having to ask for ID at events where people under 18/21 aren't allowed to be at. Its unreasonable and personally if it was me i would be freaked out if anyone at a party asked for my ID except the bouncer. I think people under 18/21 should stop sneaking into places they're not supposed to be in.
  • @chunga689
17:58 If they were able to get the wristbands, they most likely had a fake id so this might have proven useless because I'm sure Minecraft YouTubers don't know the difference of fakes and reals

19:35 idk about y'all, but i don't just randomly check people's instagram when I'm hanging out with people irl. even with strangers. that sounds like a chronically online thing. i'm introverted and i take meeting up in person pretty seriously. why would I go outside and spend my social battery only to do something i could be doing at home? that's also why i don't go out much. there are a bunch of things i'd rather do at home than outside. bowling? i have wii sports and a working wii u and wii remotes (they're old af but they still work). talking over some coffee/tea? i can just call you on discord and turn on the coffee machine or stove for the teapot. playing games? we can just play online video games.

Honestly it's Caitis friends who should be taking most of the blame. They snuck her into an adult 21+ party that served alcohol and saw how close she was getting with George and let it happen. In no world do I think he should be getting this much push back and her friends get nothing because she chooses to protect them despite them leading her into this situation.

I would say at this point the whole Georgenotfound situation is a debate of morals and shows how freaking gray this situation is. But for people on Twitter to be calling him a rapist that’s a stretch.

I always found it funny how the Minecraft twitter community always got pissy about people like Jschlatt for making jokes they dont like only for him to be one of the few that don't get these sorts of allegations. (Not caught up on any situation nor am I saying anyone is guilty of anything, its just something i've noticed.)
  • @Tovy
They are both adults, she accused him of assaulting her, gave basically no evidence, didn't take it to court and basically nothing of substance actually happened
  • Some advice on avoiding a GeorgeNotFound situation: BE PARANOID of EVERYONE!!! Literally anyone could be a 16 year old pretending to be older than they are! Checking IDs is pointless as fake IDs exist of varying qualities! Better yet, become a hermit, be scared of everyone, literally anyone could be secretly a minor while pretending they're not! Your best friend? A minor, that friendly person you met at a bar? A minor, tall dude down the street? Two minors in a Trench Coat!

    1. 18 is an adult. It is still weird at his age to go for someone who visibly appears so young, but it is not illegal. I am 27 and 23 y/os feel like babies to me, so again, weird, but definitely not against the law. 2. She is an 18y/o who chose to disobey policy by entering into a 21+ setting and partaking in drinking. She is an adult and should be treated as one -- she knew full well that she was breaking code by tricking the convention to let her in. That part is completely her fault, just as her forming a narrative that drinks were pushed on her is, when there is a very high chance that she willingly decided to drink more and more, but does not own up to it. Regardless of if the drinks were being pushed on her or if it was her choice entirely, she still maintains the autonomy to say "no" unless she was drunk to the point of extreme vulnerability. As nice as it would be to clear this discrepancy up, we can't because we weren't there. 3. This is similar in some ways to the Pyrocynical situation from awhile back -- in Pyro's case a minor/in George's case an adult under the drinking age, enters an age restricted area at their own volition, gets treated as the target age(in this case with drinking), and throws blame around because their age was on their external social media profile. In the screenshots of this video, George is seen communicating with this girl through Instagram DMs, a platform where she claims her age was in her bio -- I am unsure if this latter part is true as I am hesitant to believe that her bio wasn't just edited to add age after the fact to save face or further slander George. Note I have not found the original post from Caiti on Twitter yet, so there might be some fact-checkable screenshot dates on there which might give way to more plausible evidence. 4. People are up in arms about him not asking consent for putting his arm around her waist, but to me that just sounds like the Twitter Mob going at it to attack anyone they see fit. Yes, they just met, and silence is definitely not a green light by any means for sexual advances, but in adult settings, the truth is this is very common casual, but simultaneously bold, flirting. He indicated that he was actively looking at her body language to check if his behavior was welcome, and did not see signs of discomfort. Ex: If you are around my age, back when we were teens on movie theater dates, did a guy ever ask you if it would be okay to put his arm around your shoulders? For most of us, the answer is no. It was the formula followed by what we saw in the movies (the derpy stretch tactic). If it made us uncomfortable, we shrug off his arm and he gets the memo. Simple. If she was too drunk to speak up, that is also her fault because she chose to enter a 21+ setting and chose to drink at all in the first place. Again, the amount in which she was allegedly pressured into drinking would theoretically redirect some of the blame onto George if true because she would increasingly become more vulnerable with each new drink, but the fact still stands that she was 18 in a 21+ space and willingly had at least her first drink, when she knew she should not. 5. I do not watch George, Sapnap, or Punz. I do not watch SMP content. I do not watch Minecraft-specific content creators as a whole. I never have watched these people aside from a handful of small clips that I saw floating around that turned out to not be my cup of tea. I am not biased towards these people -- I understand that they are human and am compelled to voice my standings on the matter when I feel someone is being hate mobbed over something they don't necessarily deserve hate for.
  • Pretty neutral on the Georgenotfound drama. I'm hoping he's telling the full truth and everyone jumping onto either side of the fence with no defense made on the accuser's side is something we see too much of. I'll wait to see how they respond.

Bro these minecraft youtubers created a fanbase that was clearly unhealthy from the beginning, even starting the whole "I do not love you" and "we are not friends" debate. Now that time has passed, the fanbases are just doing what is popular and copying what the next person says. I would not be surprised if there are allegations for every one of these creators in ten years, they were profiting off of an unhealthy mentality.
  • @user-wj6zd1vi9t
Kwite and Dream have went through unnecessary harassment basically because of the phrase “believe all victims”. Not trying to diminish that statement but I’m saying while it does good it can cause harm.
  • @akittah
I have a /genq If she got a fake wband, then she probl got it by having a fake id. If she showed him this fake id, and he believed, then later she claims she was younger, how do you get clear of this? Another one is, if she was drunk, even she gave a clear consent, is it still considered consent? If he was drunk as well, would he be able to tell it couldnt count as consent? And about her friends (including her bf), who partake in this, taking a younger friend to a party with alcohol, a bunch of older and apparently already drunk ppl, and not checking on her seeing if she was ok and so on? Seems theres some responsibility on their side too.. Those are genq, it really feels like a lose-lose situation for everybody
  • I mean georgenotfound should have ask if it was okay for him to put his arm around her waist, but the ID in this situation was unnecessary considering he stated they wearing 21+ ID bands. Even so content creators do need to be careful who they interact with and how they interact with people because of stuff like this, especially when people have the believe all victims mentallity. I am not saying the victim is lying, but until all facts come out, I'll wait to make judgement on someone.

Really was great to see Cillian Murphy win the Oscar. He’s the first Irish person to ever win one, on top of that, we’re from the same town, which makes it all the more exciting here. The buzz has been unreal.
  • Yeah, I don't trust allegations from random people in such a convenient environment where they can make claims nobody would remember enough to be able to be contested. 18 is not a child, you're responsible for your own actions and not doing obviously illegal things in your country.
