In the Southwest of the United States, the Hoover Dam on the Colorado River creates the reservoir known as Lake Mead. This Lake is essential in providing water to neighboring states. In terms of water storage capacity, it is the biggest reservoir in the United States. National attention was drawn to the Lake Mead water levels that were dropping. Mead is located 24 miles east of Las Vegas in Nevada and Arizona. Nearly 20 million people and vast tracts of agriculture are fed by Lake Mead's water. Some states that enjoy this water supply are; Nevada, Arizona, California, and a part of Mexico. The Hoover Dam's construction was responsible for its creation. With almost 750 miles of coastline, you can spend the day at the beach, boating and retreating for many hours. It is a beautiful scenery that is being threatened by the drought.

    all the Hoover dam needs to do is not let out more water then it receives... ive seen where they let out way more water more then was let in and that is an issue

    You Have to explore as low as you can and find a place to store Water above Ground to allow further Exploration .

    Took a tour on Lake Mead. It’s a nice little lake as I told the guide on the boat. He seemed annoyed at my statement. Being from Michigan I was simply speaking the truth.
