For this legendary concert, José Carreras, Plácido Domingo, and Luciano Pavarotti were joined by conductor Zubin Mehta, the L.A. Philharmonic, and the L.A. Music Center Opera Chorus at Dodger Stadium, where they enchanted with a selection of operatic arias and international favorites, specially orchestrated by composer/arranger Lalo Schifrin.

A Tibor Rudas production.

They look at each other as if they’re just hearing how amazing they all sound for the first time.

The way Plácido Domingo and Luciano Pavarotti care for José Carreras who won the battle against leukemia is heart-warming. Everyone should be surrounded with such supportive friends. 90s vibes forever. 💔

I love the way the 3 of them are just looking at each other as proud friends like "look how good he is"

We're so lucky: not only to have three such incredible talents, but to be able to watch and listen to them as many times as we like. Imagine the old days when you had to be physically there at the theatre to hear them, and it was once and only once.
  • Never has so much talent shared the same stage in musical history Phil. ❤

Pavarotti can outsing them but he chooses not to humiliate his friends! Well done, maestro! You're in the singer's Paradise for this!

the moment at 1:48, Pavarotti forgets to hand off to Carreras - so Carreras puts a hand on his shoulder to say "it's alright", but also to tease him. nice little moment.
