Being the head of Starfleet's HR Command might not seem like a glamorous job. And, it's not.

“Space is weird, stuff happens” should be the tagline for all of Star Trek.

Paramount hire this man for a Starbase office comedy

"We have such problems with Admirals..." Too true ...
  • @TrueYellowDart
Having an HR person be awful at following confidentiality rules is extra funny to me.

11:18 Yeah, I call BS. Everything about this guy—from the "consensual relationships form" to the "well you know how Captains get their personalities altered by telepaths" to promising to get the Admiral transferred instead of discharged—reeks of CYA. If I have a complaint about harassment or if I'm asked to report to Starbase One, I'm still grabbing my Starfleet Union rep on my way. This is all to say, as someone who used to work for HR and who believed sincerely in The Mission, that this is exceedingly well written and acted.

"Up through the 21st century, private companies had HR departments that superficially appeared to support and protect the employees when in reality they almost always acted to protect the interests of the company. And people back then were still forced to trade their labor for the basic necessities of life!" Savagery.

It would be a minor miracle if any Starfleet HR personnel didn't develop a chemical dependency.

"Mazartians (5:08) don't consider a romantic relationship serious until . . . " Oh, I'm not going to spoil it for anyone who reads the comments first. But that line alone was worth the price of admission.

still loving this series. you've managed to take your budget limitations, your acting limitations, limited special effects, and make all of them strengths in the show. none of it would work if you weren't writing stuff you know and care about, but it really does. rapidly becoming one of my favourite star trek fan fics.

This has been one of my favorite intermittent series on this channel, love the mundane look at Starfleet and the subtext (or in many cases text) of the real world parallels are great.

I hear that Starfleet HR has an entire records room to store the complaints from Starfleet Personnel against Lwaxana Troi .

"Never say anything on camera you don't have the power to cut out yourself." An HR rep, probably.
  • @janedoe3043
Real HR exists for one reason. To build a case for firing people without a lawsuit. That's all they do, build a paper trail to use in a hypothetical court case.

Starting to think Star Fleet might be staffed by clones...
  • @HairyDalek
Best disguise ever: remove the hat. No one will ever recognise you.

God. This is the only context i can stand someone talking like a real HR lmfao Nice vid, i hope BAMoR gets more work to do soon.
