A lot of small businesses coming together to realise a project that makes multinational corporations blush is really inspiring.

I recently went to Hyderabad for work, and was shocked at the size of the corporate buildings. They're truly gigantic.

I love how warm the architecture is! It’s not overly minimalist or brutalist, or all made of glass. It’s the perfect start for people to give it personality!

Most impressive design and architecture I've seen in a while. It looks unique, rather than another copy+paste "international" style campus.

One unique thing about the Surat Diamond Bourse is that it has a customs clearance house for import and export of diamonds and jewellery. This means that the bourse can facilitate the movement of goods across borders without the need for intermediaries or delays. The customs clearance house also provides security and transparency for the traders and customers.

"Only" $388M?!?! That's mind-blowing! We couldn't build a mile long bridge for that here in the states.

I am proud to have worked as a company secretary of the Surat Diamond Bourse. I was involved in project not only from ground zero but when promoters conceived an idea of building a diamond bourse up until the building was completed about 80%, then I immigrated to another country. I kno that the project was huge but never imagined that it will catch such global attention.
  • It's awesome when buildings are built for a practical purpose like this, especially when it's a case of people coming together and figuring out what they need.
  • @nsevv
WOW!! Highest rail bridge and now highest office building. The amount of light is amazing.
  • @GTR-V1
The Diamond Bourse, I just went there inside 3 days ago... It has a big oval overbridge in the entrance. Even though the office building itself has started operation, there are still lots of construction going around like Metro train services. Its part of the DREAM CITY. the whole area is near airport, where there are many new residential buildings also in work, to invite the families of people in diamond market from Mumbai's Bandra-Kurla Complex.
  • @The-Anonymous.
India is doing insane work on Infrastructure. Every year India is creating new records! You need to review those projects as well ❤
  • @guffsuff9347
Amazing India is doing great in infrastructure sector .... mind-blowing projects are ongoing
  • @sewerrat
    Looks great. Congratulations India.
  • @booz394
Awesome!! Well done India, in particularly congratulations to Surat! fan from Israel.
  • @Ynhockey
Fun fact: India took over from Israel a while back as the world's main diamond exchange, though Israel is still a big one. Israel's diamond exchange is also called the Bourse (a synonym for an exchange, but not everyone uses this word), and it was Israel's largest office complex when built in the 1980s. I guess this industry really needs a lot of office space. In the 2020s there is a plan to renovate the entire district in Israel, with towers of up to 520 m (!). Anyway, good for India and its diamond industry, very exciting stuff.
  • @franwex
I’m impressed that there’s enough demand for diamonds to warrant a structure like this.
  • @boredgrass
It is an intriguing building! Had I planned a trip to India, It would be in my bucket list!
  • @hirensheta
I'm a resident of Surat City, witnessed an enormous growths of the City in the past 20 years, the SDB Building is Constructed for the Diamond and Jewellery Purpose. Surat is world's largest manufacturer of Natural Diamonds. 9 out of 10 Diamonds of the Entire Worlds are Polished in Surat only, and that's why it's also known as Diamond 💎 City.
  • $375 million???…. Can’t imagine what it would cost to build in the west…
  • @john-ke5838
That's not an office but a trading COMPLEX complete with all the amenities🤗🤗🤗🇰🇪🇰🇪🇰🇪
