Let's not forget how great of a practice tool that is! For a full-blown gig, it's limited, but man at this size, with the possibility of using headphones, with real captures, this is fantastic, go on your bed and practice without annoying anyone, great!

I’m really excited to try this pedal. It’ll be my first step into the tonex world.
  • I wish i could watch content like this all day! Thank you Ola, great episode!

I bought both, the Tonex Pedal last year, and this a few days ago after your reviews. They suit my needs perfectly!! Thanks for another great video and use case for it

I wondered about this exact thing (how it sounds as a pre-amp into the effects return of a tube amp and cab) - so thank you for doing this, OIa!
  • @tonya4157
Thank you for this! This is exactly what I wanted to know.

I'm not a pedal guy at all, but you might have just sold me on this little guy. Once you put it in the effects loop...WOAH!
  • @eLihis
It is quite exiting that this little pedal sounds better than badlanders own preamp. Can't wait to get my own next week. :)

Thanks for the honest review. I just picked up one of these and man is it cool. It my first modeler. The main reason I went w/ this over sometlike the Quad Cortex was because of the price. Sure it may not be as accurate as the quad but it’s a heck of a lot less expensive and I didn’t need all of the extra effects from the quad. 🤘

Awesome demo, different ways of connecting and using the Tonex. Feels like an updated Mooer.
  • @Cirux
Perfect. Def getting one. The fact that it comes with the license for the software though. Love it.

Thanks for this. I've been waiting for someone to run the tonex into an amp's loop. I've got a JVM410 and I'd love to be able to use the full tonex pedal that way, sort of having the best of both worlds being able to run a full analog rig plus have amp modelling.

I just got this pedal based on your vid Ola. Although I know you can make anything sound good. I've been using the FM3 so I planned on fiddling with it last night but got playing with my usual rig and couldn't be bothered. I plan on trying it with my PA50 at some point.
  • @lpgoog
This is exactly 💯 what I was wondering. Thx for demo
  • I've been waiting for someone to put it through a real amp. Thanks for the great video (again).
  • Your first video was very good and sounded very sincere and made me buy it ! I still haven't received it , but this video confirms it was a good decision !!

2:16 amp only 2:45 tonex one as OD into amp front 4:00 tonex one as OD and preamp into amp fx return In my opinion using tonex one as preamp (without cab IR) into amp fx loop sounded worse than real amp (obviously), it has lost one dimension in dynamics. However its pros are already discussed in other yt videos, so this is a nice tool. Instead buying some high end amps, get their captures without cab and have fun with whatever you have by pluging this in your amp fx loop, or some power amp. Thank you Ola for valuable sound example!
