33. The Parable of the Mustard Seed - Mark 4:30-32

The beloved hymn, Come, Thou Almighty King, goes well with this passage of Scripture. Ditto for Psalm 145:13.

Grace for grace " in the chapter of " the wedding feast " Faith is what we do with a conscious decision because we trust that if we do it we will in time develop the character of Jesus . It starts with accepting that with grace from God as we ask for it ,we can keep the ten commandments. Remember the comment one line before the ten commandmemts were given " I am the God that brought you out of the house of bondage ",so the ten commandments are not bondage but you will need grace from God to live within them as you transition into the character of Jesus .Having accepted that role for your life then the " still small voice " of God will give you insights be they a recollection of scripture or an insight of wisdom.This information is like a grain of mustard seed.It takes no effort to overlook it because it is not the usual you and could even be something that you have...this is the time to talk to God about it. and get grace. The great thing about grace today is the joy that comes from overcoming through grace today makes you more inclined to repeat the process tomorrow. As we repeat the process day after day ,all those little insignificant moving forward steps which were enabled by grace will strengthen the character and you will grow into a strong tree As for the birds in the mustard tree. The seed that falls beside the path and are carried away with the birds,here the birds are fallen angels. In the mustard tree the birds must be Gods angels sent to enlighten us as to something we can grow into or service we can do for God in the hope that we would ask for grace and produce fruit.
