I had a lot of trouble understanding this when I first came back to God. But after asking God to help me understand this I fully get it now. He's so beautiful man.

I found Isaiah 9:6 interesting where it's talking about the future Messiah and refers to Him as Father. "For unto us a Child is born, Unto us a Son is given; And the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace."

When the noun has a definite article, it points to a distinct identity, in this case Almighty God. However, the second "theos", referring to the Word, does not have the definite article. Many scholars agree that the fact that the second theos does not have a definite article points to a characteristic or quality of the Word, that he was "divine", "a god", but not Almighty God himself. Note also that John 1:1 says that "the Word was with God [ho theos]". Someone who is with another person is not the same as that other person. The New Catholic Encyclopedia states the following: “The formulation ‘one God in three Persons’ was not solidly established, certainly not fully assimilated into Christian life and its profession of faith, prior to the end of the 4th century. . . . Among the Apostolic Fathers, there had been nothing even remotely approaching such a mentality or perspective.”

When to people get married they both bond as one, they both complement each other. When Jesus Christ said me and the father are one it meant the same. In Genesis when Yahweh created earth the son and father were happy together as separated persons, hence two, not one. Also God loved us so much that he sent his "only beloved son" as a sacrifice to humanity for all our sins. Most people and pastors get this wrong 😢
