If you notice Andy’s hat doesn’t match Woodies it matches Jessie’s hat. I like to think Andy’s mom was the girl that grew out of playing with Jessie

This was definitely one of the few sequels that actually surpassed the first movie.
  • I guess the toys have a sleep mode even when they have their eyes open? Because it’s hard to imagine Jessie NOT noticing Stinky Pete when he turned on the TV right in front of her.
  • I love that they're trying to crack the history of andy's family and Woody's backstory. Effects of anime lol
  • @ItsAVolcano
There's something downright mesmerizing about the old man restoring Woody.

21:40- 21:41 Speaking of which, up until this movie, Woody still had his burn spot on his forehead from Sid in the last movie but when the toy repair man came, he fixed it up. And it stays that way for the rest of the series.

Also remember this was around mid 90’s. The internet as we know it now didn’t exist. You couldn’t just look stuff up anytime you wanted. That show from the 50’s, if it wasn’t being played on re-runs, then nobody would have known about it outside of collectors like Al.

21:05 Fun Fact: A code 546, in Buzz's Universe, means the assignment or mission is the escort of royalty, alternate dimension royalty to be specific. Thus why Belt Buzz can understand why/how there are two "Real" Buzz's and called Woody "Your Majesty". xD

The Pizza Truck they stole is the "Pixar Truck". It can be seen somewhere in EVERY single Pixar movie.

Nerd moment but Woody's empty holster is to symbolize that you can solve issues without violence, hence never owning a gun

You know the joke about Pixar movies always making you cry? I think this movie is the originator of that. Jesse's backstory is really sad, and the song accompanying it is also heartbreaking. Also, I think the popular fan theory is that Andy's parents are divorced because, if you remember, in the first movie they were moving to another house rather suddenly before his birthday, and his mom didn't have a wedding ring either.

One of my favourite facts about this Toy Story and the first is the sorta rivalry that it has with Wallace and Gromit. When Wallace and Gromit's 'The Strange Trousers' came out, Pixar saw it and thought 'this is the benchmark of animation, we need to one up them!' which resulted in the ending of Toy Story 1, which was considered the most impressive animated action scene up to the point. Then Aardman retorted with the ending of Chicken Run, to which Toy Story 2 retorted with the ending of it's movie.

Jessie was and still is such an amazing addition to the franchise. She’s psychotic but extremely fun!
  • @amandagrubbs3000
Fun fact: Jodi Benson voiced Barbie in the Toy Story movies. She also voiced Ariel in The Little Mermaid

There is an actual story behind woodys origins in Toy Story told by its original creator, accordingly woody belonged to Andy’s dad, but he unfortunately died from polio disease but gave Andy woody befor he died.

An important thing to remember about Buzz Lightyear of Star Command: Tim Allen couldn't reprise his role as Buzz for the whole series, they got Patrick Warburton as Buzz. However, Tim Allen did reprise his role for the direct-to-video movie Buzz Lightyear of Star Command: The Adventure Begins which is basically the origins of the series that actually has two versions. One with Tim Allen and the other with Warburton.
  • @Kyofan23
Buzz Lightyear of Star Command is an incredible series that I wish got more recognition, it’s not even on Disney+ like most of the other animated series are; I really hope you guys watch it for the channel!
  • @Xtazz695X
If you guys ever did the full Buzz Lightyear series, I would watch every single one. That show was an early gem in my childhood 👌🏼
  • Imagine if a cop pulled over that Pizza Planet truck they stole for speeding and reckless driving just to find only toys inside.
  • @wwalton
I'm so happy I had this on VHS so I could proceed to not understand the casting couch joke
