  • Utley’s play is one of the most underrated plays in World Series history.

I have been lucky enough to have been alive for the 1980 1993 2008 and 2022. 4 of the greatest Phillies teams ever. I was at the first game Cole hamels pitched in the show. Same night the Phillies moved in front of the new York Mets. I never heard the bank that loud when they showed the Mets lost. But I know the bank was a lot louder the past couple of years. I love the Phillies win or lose. In the 60s I walked to Connie mack stadium with my dad. Am 64 years old and I have taken a lot of abuse over the years for loving the Phillies. But it's a Philly thing.

That night, I was standing in the rain, in the crowd outside of Johnny Brenda's on Girard, watching the game through the window, because the bar was completely packed. I couldn't believe they didn't call the game after 5 innings, with the Phillies leading, it would have been recorded as a full game and a win for Philadelphia. Sadly, the night they played out the rest, I had rehearsal with my band, so I didn't get to watch the end live

😢😢😢 hopefully we get a part 2 of this next season

Crazy looking back now at that intro… Longoria in disbelief he’s playing for a World Series so early in his career. Fast forward to now and he only just got back in probably his final season

The Phillies home field advantage is nuts. They didn’t lose once in 08. They only lost 2 games and they were last year in the World Series. They won every other game. This year they won every game so far. If they just win at home and in the road their home record isn’t as big bc they don’t need to come back. So in 2022 and 2023 they’re 10-2 8-0 in 2008. 6 more wins in 2023 and we have this again!!!

So I have two brothers…we love the Fightens! My father was able to only get two tickets to game 5 so, my father and I want to the first half and my bros got to go the next day for the end of the game. They got the better half but we are all grateful that we was able to say we were there!!! Love this team and love todays 2023 team making another run. GO FIGHTENS!!!
