Playing as humans: fun power fantasy, realistic outcome Playing as Na'vi: pain festival, masochistic outcome
  • Can we just take a minute to pay our respect to the artist who is making all of those thumbnails? They are cool as hell.

Holy shit this is a giant nostalgia blast When I realised this was basically two different games if you choose sides and playing the story through both side pov was amazing
  • This is the only game that made me feel that "i remembered the graphics super realistic" literally remembered it like avatar 2 lol
  • Was such an underrated game I loved exploring and the fact it had two campaigns depending on what side you wanted to be on! Muah 👩‍🍳💋
  • This game is a rare gem and deserves more attention. Definitely better than most movie licensed games by a longshot

Wow, I had to look this up on Wikipedia but It's canon in the movie that Jake Sully is the first soldier to pilot an avatar. But this guy is running and gunning with every weapon and vehicle. According to the wiki though, he's technically a "signal specialist" which is a technical term for "we didn't wanna break continuity, but still wanted someone to run and gun".
  • The thing I enjoyed most was the Pandorapedia. It had a respectable amount of work put into it and scratched that itch some people would find looking at Avatar’s world.

I lowkey love this game. There's no penalty for dying, and the open world is completely devoid of anything to do, but still, it was so much fun to explore Pandora. Prolly one of the greatest movie-based games.

For those that are new to playing avatar don't worry about picking sides because as soon as you pick a side it creates another save called undecided allowing you to have a rda and navi playthrough edit : why are people putting a smiley face ?
  • Was really interested to see if you were going to stay with the humans. Seems like the game wants you to side with the Na'vi and gives you a second choice between the humans and the Na'vi if you initially choose human
  • @theboy1625
The human armor in this game was one of the main reasons I chose the human side
  • Still loved how the major quest giving NPCs you come to know and possibly respect are the major bosses of the opposite routes, and how the different routes don't just all use the same maps. there are some that are exclusive to one campaign or the other. The maps themselves seem a little empty, when looking for things to do, but hot damn were they dense in literal foliage and visual spectacle

I remember this game exists every couple years and end up replaying it and remembering how difficult the Navi story is
  • Had hundreds of hours into this game when I was a kid, nostalgic af.

I played this back in 2010 during my Avatar obsession phase. I never did the human side play-through, but the Na'vi side was very satisfying. While it broke with the movie on some nit-pickable levels, it was still nice to run through the world setting, and I was impressed with how well it even held its own as a video game independently of its movie tie-in and source material.
  • I like how playing the human is the evil choice but it's the most fun choice with the carpet bombing
  • I loved how there was friendly ai and enemy ai fights always happening you could join in
  • Kev spending the entire video calling the Na’vi avatars is hilarious to me
