Untangled: Biodiversity loss - what on Earth is causing it?

Published 2022-09-14
Right now, over 1 million plant and animal species are threatened with extinction and the average population sizes of wildlife have dropped by around 70% since 1970. We’ve already lost half of the world’s corals and lose forest areas the size of 27 football fields every minute.

So what’s causing all this? And what can we do to turn things around?

  • Switching to a plant based diet is the number one best thing we need to do to achieve a sustainable planet! Done with animal agriculture and start with normal agriculture, plant farming instead of animal farming 🌿
  • YouTube should do better about spreading this video around. More people need to see this. Thanks for the knowledge.
  • The two biggest problems is over populated and pure greed leads to all theses problems .

This has shockingly few views for such a serious issue, so i'm leaving a comment to feed the algorithm

very good video. I shall share it. I want to say that the main problem is that human beings only believe in laws made by human beings. So they buy lands...to destroy them for their own profit. Because the land is theirs...They paid for that...They don't believe in natural laws and if they learned a bit they will see all kinds of life owns the planet even without paying for it. Human Beings invade the forests that belong to the animals, the trees and so on. But it is considered legal because according the human laws it is legal. But according the the laws of nature it is a crime. And that is the only law we had to follow.

I think you are overly optimistic if you think COP 15 will make any real difference, World leaders have little interest in making a real impact on climate change, the media barely mentions it. Those of us who understand the problem are not optimistic.

The video is to the point, laconically but comprehensively describing the state of things in our world and giving some hope.. But as I watch modern documentaries on ecology, my heart bleeds... I can only imagine how painful it is for God to watch all of this... All living things that he created with great love are suffering.. People forgot about the responsibility we all bear, corporations blatantly ignore the cries of millions of people and other living creatures on the face of the Earth. But I know one thing - God will not endure it without end, he will stop those who destroy the earth (Revelation 11:18), - and the further we go, the more we can see that there is actually no other way around this crucial issue, as humanity in general, lacks free will to do what's good, to sacrifice for the sake of the present and future, - and he will renew justice by restoring Paradise conditions, as it was in the very beginning (Psalm 37:2, Matthew 5:5). I do believe that a better world is getting closer! Pretty soon things will change for much better on an unimaginable scale: https://www.jw.org/finder?wtlocale=E&issue=2021-05&pub=wp21&srcid=share.
