Farewell Fishy Friend

Published 2012-04-07
After two weeks of treatment, Jambi gave it a valiant effort but decided to join Cap'n Carl in the Big Pond over the rainbow. I really miss my social fish.

That is so beautiful Celinne. You really do know how to make us feel better. I love that quote at the end too. Another quote that always makes me feel better during these times is..."It's better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all". It's so very true.

The Zunin quote sums it up! Your posts are forever heartfelt and inspiring. I'm truly honored to have you and so many others here on YT as my *family*. Thank you dear Celinne

So sorry he's gone. He was a lively addtion to the environment of the Playhouse and always made me smile! I lived that he would "stand on his tail" and swim backwards (Moon Walk?). He never ceased to impress me with his intelligence and wit (which is saying a lot for a fish) and his fins were glorious!

Jambi will truly be missed. He was a superstar on YouTube, and an entertaining, creative friend for you and all of us who will miss him. I'm sure he wouldn't want you to be sad, OneR, but rather celebrate his life and his accomplishments. I know Cap'n Carl was there to greet him and take him on new adventures. The loss of any cherished pet is so hard, but eventually the grieving heart replaces that heavy feeling with the knowledge and memories of love that have been shared. RIP Jambi.

Oh sweet Jambi your life was quite a fish tale. Your fins brush our hearts, we won't forget we shall just love you and smile we know how special your life was. Go in peace.

More help than you know Robert. I really get attached to all who grace the Playhouse with their presence and there is a palpable void when they depart. I appreciate your compassion my friend.

It really IS a loss. Who knew one could really bond with a fish [or a SNAIL for that matter] ... it's one of life's many wonders
  • @Terifique
Its always sad to lose a companion no matter if what size he may be. I am sure he is well swimming in the skies and he enjoyed living iwth you!! ^^

Thank you Jennifer. Having had my own painful journeys through loss, I know how deeply grief cuts into our hearts. But as random as life seems to be sometimes, I also realized that there is a meaning and rhythm to all our encounters with each other and the little ones. And most importantly there is no end or 'death' for any sentient being. There's only a change of form and the essence of each being lives eternally.

We've had enough losses lately, that's for sure. Thanks for the love ... you know we feel the same

I can't believe I missed seeing this video. I am going to miss Jambi. He was quite a character.

Thank you Sharon. Though my best wasn't good enough, I'm very glad he is out of his misery
  • @ThePlayhousePals
He liked you too Suz. He was by far the most social fish I've ever cared for. I keep looking for him when I first walk by the tank ... sigh

Beautiful, dancing Jambi now swims in that part of the cosmos where all beings connect. I am pretty sure Mat is there along with Cap'n Carl. The Native Americans teach us that every being has a spirit and a name.I wonder what Jambi's spirit name is and if he knows how much love he inspired in you .... and us? I am so sorry for your grief. “The risk of love is loss, and the price of loss is grief. But the pain of grief is only a shadow when compared with the pain of never risking love.” H Zunin
