Giganotosaurus did not prey on Apatosaurus or Diplodocus. These two Sauropods lived in Jurassic Period North America and were extinct by the time that Giganotosaurus appeared in the Cretaceous. What Giganotosaurus likely hunted were the much larger Argentinasaurus.
