Innocent Criminals (Silverchair) - Felt like it (1993)

Published 2023-10-23
First TV performance of the Silverguys as Innocent Criminals, with the participation of the former fourth member, Tobin Finnane.

This is a collage I made with all the pieces I found... Enjoy! 🦙

  • No ones going to point out the “let’s rock and roll!!” part? Shii cracked me up.

You gotta love that anemic sounding: "Let's rock and roll!". You know he instantly regretted saying it the second it left his mouth.😅

Dude. TALK. ABOUT. TALENT. What were they 11 here?!?!

4 years he was singing No more maybes, your baby's got rabies
  • They progressed so fast, you'd never have guessed seeing this they'd be doing the stuff they did on Frogstomp
  • @RMoocher
Literally just one year later, as can be seen by other early footage, they became a completely different looking/sounding band!

As a Newy born and bred local i love the idea of this channel and the early vids that have been posted so far.I was 3 years younger than the boys but have memories of them playing at both primary and high school🤘🤘
  • 2 years After this these guys become Sliver Chair and im watching them on mtv and id buy their album Frog Stomp. It was awesome music that had a depth and tone that was unique and fresh. They got alot of slack but fxuk, they were international show stoppers. Rock on Silver Chair!!! Rob from Canada 🇨🇦

He's still a really competent guitarist and singer. This is really impressive, especially the solo.
  • On March 27,1995, Silver Chairs Frogstomp was released internationally. Backed by the release of five singles, it was a critical and commercial success. It reached number one in the Australian album charts and hit number nine in the US Billboard hot 200.
  • Chris and Ben being consistently normal human beings for their entire lives: 😀 Daniel: 👩‍🎤

When Frogstomp came out I was pretty blown away, especially when I’d heard they were so young. Freakshow is great also

That older 4th member would have been very disappointed that he wasn't in the band when they became huge stars only a few years later

Being a Newcastle boy, I can tell from the start of the footage that this performance was part of the local TV channel's once a year charity event: the "NBN Telethon". Special mentions to Miss Kim, Big Dog, Super Hubert, and Ray Dineen.
  • at leat 10 to 11 years, at 14 they wont the concert and his voice changed radically
