Morgan Freeman does not ride the woke train when it comes to this topic Black History Month. In a candid interview about race relations in the U.S., Freeman told the U.K.’s Sunday Times that Black History Month is an “insult.”
“Black history is American history; they’re completely intertwined,” Freeman argued. “You’re going to relegate my history to a month?” The Oscar award-winning actor went on to say he doesn’t like being called “African American” because the label is inaccurate.

Caucasian/white guy here. Mr. Freeman is the first black man I ever saw. It was when he had a guest appearance on Seasame Street when I was about 5 years old. My mother came into the living room while I was watching it. I asked her, "mom why is his skin darker?" She said, "son, that man is just like you. The only thing different is the color our skin. Dont you ever treat anyone with darker skin any different than you would want to be treated." Yes! I have a great mother. Morgan is and will always be a trend setter and he is the person thats at the top of my bucket list of famous people I want to meet. Oh, by the way, I'm from Eastern Kentucky.
