  • It’s not what you do that earns salvation. In salvation you will do. It’s really not that hard of a concept. Bearing fruit is a natural progression of a healthy tree.

The juxtaposition of faith and works is only relevant to the question of justification and it must proceed from a discussion of what is and is not justification. This further posits a clarification and understanding of what is justification and what is sanctification. This then also entails a further discussion of what is the difference between forensic declaration and process and when, where, and how, those bear on the relationship between justification and sanctification which then - and only then - can lead to a discussion of faith versus works, or more properly the role of faith and the purpose of works in the life of the believer.

Splitting hairs - No Catholic doctrine says that salvation is earned by good works - Rather, if faith is not attended by good works faith is in vain, dead indeed
  • If works are not important, then why Jesus kept asking everybody to do them?

But do you have to pray to Mary, go to mass, and confession with a priest on order to be saved?

Sects are a work of the flesh. Don’t follow a group, follow Jesus. Whatever the word says, that’s law. Everything else is ma made tradition. It’s about love. If you remain in his love, and his word remains in you, you will hear much fruit. But apart from him you can do nothing. If your pastor says something that goes against what you know to be true (something from the word), you listen to the word and not your pastor. You will not bear fruit apart from the vine, so your works are meaningless as far as salvation goes. But once you are saved, if you have faith (faith is more than belief, it is a life of action backed by that belief. For example, if you tell me that you believe something, I don’t know if you really believe it unless you act on it.) then you will have works which come out of that faith.

Protestants are in deep trouble beleiving in faith alone. Christ , the author of Salvation said you have to be baptised and also take communion. Based on "faith alone" means no such things are necessary which directly contradicts the Bible. To 'believe' in the Bible doesnt just mean intellectual aknowledgement but to rely entirely and act accordingly in actions and works of faith in everything you do. adding the word "alone" to saved by faith is adding to scripture which such behavior is cursed in the book of Revelations and even St Paul says the same thing in one of his epistles.
  • A teaching out of no where after 1500 years ! non of the early church fathers say like protestantism! it is new

Can’t believe people seriously consider any of these to be anything other than story.

No one is right or wrong in matters of religion, beliefs are subjective.
