well then, try to change something in your cockpit performance manager (I don't know if there is one for the 747). With the 737NGX for example, you can adjust the refresh rate of your cockpit displays (PFD/ND) via FMC. I think for the 747 you can adjust it by loading a flight, display the menubar, click on AddOns,then PMDG-->options But actually, it's normal. Over EGLL I get better frames with the NGX outside view than with a cockpit view... But 17 fps would be still okay for me ;)

Awesome video, I have the same processor as you, what graphics card do you have,? and also you should try overclocking to fix the little stutters you have, don't go crazy though, look up videos on youtube
  • @SiebAir
well, the more cores, the more processing capabilities^^ I assume your CPU load being about 60-80% on average ?
  • @SiebAir
the electronics expert of the shop I have my PC from said, that usually intel CPU's are better for gaming, but I think an AMD Octocore will also do it :D
  • @fai8t
yeah i did... TBH i get 12~17 fps in cockpit but 45~60 anywhere else :P (but i like to view everything from there lol!)
  • @fai8t
Same :P AMD fan here :D i wont pay 550$ ~ or so for intel CPU lol instead of 7970+amd 8350 Octa-core :P
  • @SiebAir
have you already tweaked your fsx.cfg ? It can help a lot !
  • @fai8t
its not optimized for Intel? :D (will the Current FX-8350 run it like charm?)
  • @fai8t
yeah more like 60% :P so with 8 cores would be 30% load i guess :P
  • @SiebAir
no sorry, overclocking is not really my style, as it stresses the processor much more. I don't want to go for the risk to buy a new one :P My graphics card is a AMD Radeon HD5770, but it doesn't really matter because fsx is a really processor-based simulator
  • @fai8t
PS: my CPU load does not reach 100% how will other +4 cores will make difference ?
  • @fai8t
    Then i Need a New GPU i Guess :P
  • @fai8t
Help Me Bro! my CPU is Identically like yours and i Got 4870 Vapor-x 780 Core / 1080 Mem and i get like 12~17 FPS!!! (with 737-9 WL PMDG) PLEASE HELP!
  • @SiebAir
no... fsx is a very processor related game, so don't waste money! For fsx even a mid-class GPU is enough. The only 3 things you can do is: -tweaking, tweaking and again tweaking -adjust your fsx settings correctly to your real NEEDS -overclock your CPU (at your own risk!!!)
