Yellowheaded blackbirds can attacked humans during the summertime, when they are nesting and raising their young ones. I used to being attacked by Brewer's blackbirds, Red winged blackbirds, Yellowheaded blackbirds, and even American Crows when I used to lived in both Carson City and Reno Nevada back in the late 1980s, and early 1990s. They are report that people are also attacked by blackbirds in Fallon Nevada.
  • What a glorious bird. What a call lol! But I am going to paint this bird cos I just now saw him in a book of illustrations for painters! I have never seen this bird in real life, but it's glorious!
  • I heard one of these when I was walking back from a class at night. I was super paranoid because it was my first time staying after hours for a class that late and it was super dark. The path I take is surrounded by woods on both sides, and on my left I heard what sounded exactly like a creaky door hinge. It was freaky. I figured after a minute that it had to have been some kind of bird call as it was coming from a treetop. As soon as I got home I googled it because I just had to know what kind of animal made that sound.
