Collecting LEGO Star Wars is fun, but is it worth it? The biggest problem with LEGO Star Wars is by far the the biggest thing that I talk about in this video... lol let me know in the comments if you learned anything from this video.

I love it when they remake valuble figs, you see investors crying all over the place.

Remakes devaluing older figures seems like a scalper problem. I'm down to save 90% on a new minifigure

The fact that people are mad/sad when Lego makes actually good minifigures is baffling, people need to stop whining, especially the Lego star wars fans and "investors"
  • @Garinovitch
Personally I don't care at all if older figures are devalued because of the newer ones. I want to collect minifigures because I either love the character or I wanna create fun scenes to play around with. I feel investors don't care about the characters or property in general and they're only goal is to make money. It these investors that ruin alot of the fun for me, I can't just have fun with because to do even something small I have shill out a shit ton of money.

Lego Star Wars is a low-key nightmare of a hobby.

It's interesting to think that so many people would buy a $200 minifigure rather than a $20 custom minifigure that is objectively better. I will never fully understand the LEGO market but this video definitely helped out a bit! Another banger video Dani!

We get like a new boba slave 1 every other year but we’ve only ever gotten a single jango slave 1 way way back in 02. Even when they release new episode 2 sets and go as far as including a Christmas jango and young boba in an advent calendar they still refuse.

I have never understood only caring about the mini figs when collecting Lego. Like yeah they are a cool extra, but the whole point is the builds and models. People who buy 100$+ sets that they don’t even want just to get a mini fig are insane to me.

It’s so expensive being a Star Wars Lego collector 🤣. Great video Dani!
  • Even if I love collecting minifigs, the main reason for me to buy a set is the build first and foremost. I got myself those sets which included vehicles that I like (my personal favourite being the 2015 Lambda class shuttle). I'd only buy a set solely for the minifigures if the set is cheap

Trying to 100% Lego Star Wars just sounds like a nightmare I don't have nowhere near enough money for. I'm just happy to grab some of my favorite vehicles and characters if I can tbh.

Great video, dani, i remembered when those old sets came out in the 90s, of course I couldn't afford them at the time.😊

The golden age of clone wars sets was mostly a price thing, though. Eg the new AT-TE is definitely better than the Clone Wars era AT-TE, but the CW AT-TE was a £70 set and the new AT-TE is a £120 set. That comparatively low price point made the brand a lot more accessible to kids and as a result was able to generate a ton of nostalgia.

This should have been called: "why lego star wars collectos need a good psychiatrist and it's their own fault"

watching this made me question my life choices i owned almost $5000 worth of minifigure that i didnt even know were worth anything

Army building is so dang fun when it happens organically. And by organically I mean only getting new sets that come out mixed with older ones that I don’t have, maybe a second battle pack but that’s it. I have now a whole squad of regular storm troopers for the first time with all the same helmet mold and it looks fantastic. Not the type of person who cares to have a whole entire army just a decent representation of the army itself and you need at least more than 16 for that. Nonetheless I’ve had a blast with the newer waves and collecting older sets as I have seen my mandalorians, storm troopers, and clone troopers all increase in quantity and its soooo fun sorting them all and seeing how many I have and which sets they came from

It’s great to see you uploading again Dani keep up the good work 😀

Figures and characters should be accessible to the people who actually want them instead of market speculators and “”investors””
