The old time cowboys got this right, at least the ones who never did "ventilate" their legs or feet! :-)

  • His natural pain response is to just start talking about guns and gun safety.
  • Man I can't trust this man anymore. He told me he shot himself in the foot and then told me he didn't. I'm just going to load 7 in my colt.
  • @amuplay2302
3:58 “You can’t miss! Ah, yes I can. I had to miss one intentionally” I just love this man
  • @barryw86
This is clearly one of the best firearms video series on YouTube. No politics or drama, just straight information.
  • @camfox5187
"If it takes more than 5 shots to kill it, it simply won't die."
  • @sicesp
No feet were harmed in the making of this video.
  • For all those who find this to be 'new' information: This applies to Colt designed Single Action revolvers(and about half a gazillion copies). This does not apply to the bulk of modern made double action revolvers. This does not apply to semi-automatic pistols with a rebounding firing pin.

The fact that she shot a hole in his shoe for this vid, and then is probably gonna wear those shoes for another 5 years, is just great.
  • @zaggaona
Plot twist: he actually did shoot his foot but masterfully played it off ....give this man an oscar!!! And a tourniquet
  • @MysteryCube7
"I paid for all 6 bullets and I'm gonna use all 6 bullets"
  • @lucaj9093
I love how he just casually hits 4 out of 5 shots like this one handed.
  • I learned this from my father. He carried one of these as a young man while working cattle on the ranch in Texas in the late 1930s to early 1940s. He always said that most of the cowboys he knew carried five in the chambers and a "saddle blanket" in the sixth. That was usually a $5 or $10 dollar bill rolled up to fit into the chamber. It helped to prevent putting a sixth round in the cylinder. Back then, $5 dollars was a good night on the town

When I purchased my SAA over 20 years ago, I was told about loading "5 beans in the wheel". I never forgot that lesson. Very glad to see that addressed here.
  • Always good to be reminded about gun safety. Lessons like these are invaluable

"...my foot was not in the shoe." Plot twist, it was the camera guys foot
  • @SamnissArandeen
"If you're worried about capacity, get a Glock 17!" That would be a hilarious Spaghetti Western.
  • The first click is what Colt intended people to use when the SAA is loaded with six. All the way down is likely how you had that in your holster, which leaves it prone to firing if the hammer spur is contacted.
