Idc what anyone says , if the trade would've went through , Kobe wouldn't of had to exert himself so much with having more help like cp3 , this would've gave him more longevity to his career and not getting hurt.

Kobe could of won at least 7 or 8 chips if the CP3 trade would of happened. Also, No way Jerry Buss would of let Kobe walked. He was the best Player in the league.

Unfortunately for us Laker fans it was The perfect Storm. The league had literally just taken over the Hornets. Had the trade gone down with any other team there would have been less of a chance that this could have happened but because the commissioner was directly involved in the day-to-day operations of the Hornets every other owner was looking at him and would blame him... Don't forget David Stern was also in the last years of his tenure with the NBA so he knew he couldn't leave Adam Silver with 28 angry owners and a Laker team that would dominate the league for the next 10 years...
