I'm Paul Micallef, and I discovered my own autism at age 30.
Yes, I know, I don't look autistic. That's exactly why I started this channel in the first place because if I didn't show you, you would never know.
Autism affects many (if not all!) aspects of our lives, so on this channel, I want to show you what Autism looks like in real people and give you some insight into what's happening for us on the inside. We'll break down myths and misconceptions, discuss how to embrace autism and live well, and share what it's like to be an autistic person.

So weird. I feel like I'm looking at a time traveler. Paul and Pete look like the same person, but one is the younger version and the other is the older version.

Throughout my life I thought I was one with "broad" interests. I was interested in just about anything taught in school, politics, and sports. On the other hand, my view was that neurotypical people were apathetic people who were only interested in partying and pop culture. Now I know is that from their perspective, I was narrow minded with three special interests; school, politics and sports. To have broad interests you must be interested in activities that require socialization and have knowledge of pop culture.

this is unrelated to the topic at hand but: throughout all these videos, i've looked at the guest speaker and imagined what they'd sound like, and i was always way off
