You might try turning up the idle a little bit and then the generator will not cut out or you could maybe try another pulley to make the generator turn just a little faster but then again new brushes and bushings would probably be a good idea anyway but I totally understand whatever I am troubled about something I like to start my Ford 8N tractor and blade the driveway or cultivate my Sisters garden, spending time like that kinda helps me sort things out in my mind and priorities my problems are then I have a starting point of how I will continue to deal with my issues 😀🇨🇦
