I don't believe Tracy was Sammy's biological daughter. I remember back in the 70's "The National Enquirer" did a story of another man claiming to be Tracy's father and Sammy's ex-wife admitted she did have an affair with that man.

I had such a crush on Mr. Davis. When he sang Mr. Bojangles and danced, it just pulled at my heart strings. I recognized the same in my daughter who loved Michael Jackson. We live our black men and admire our innate talent.

My mother passed on the same day, Sammy Davis Jr. did May 16, 1990 . It makes me smile to know they went through the pearly gates the same day.

Joe Jackson , you mean Jack Johnson
  • Sammy could sing just as well as Frank Sinatra? Let me say this "I love frank" however vocally, Frank could never level up to Sammy, period. Frank would sit in the audience when Sammy performed at certain shows. Frank never envied Sammy's vocal magic he respected him for it. He knew Sammy was a better entertainer than all of the others in the Rat Pack and they knew it. Boy oh Boy I miss those days. I love the musical arrangements and lyrics. Sad that Sammy had to go through so much in America. The problem is America never evolved on a human level. Sadly, it is going backward in time once again. Glad that Sammy was able to triumph over those service men who belittled him. WHERE ARE THEY NOW? I HOPE THEY GOT WHAT THEY DESERVED. Thank you Frank Sinatra for standing up for justice. I knew you must be a Sagittarian. Only a Sagittarian would go out of his or her way on that level, to stand up for what is right. REST IN LOVE GUYS CANT WAIT TO JOIN YOU GUYS AGAIN. HEAVEN MUST BE ROCKING. THE DEVIL SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF HIMSELF
  • When I first saw that pic of him & father, I thought I was looking at MLK jr..

At his worst he was still the most talented of The Rat Pack ... sad to hear he went through so much but despite it all he really opened minds and doors ... he was just so likable and entertaining, how could anyone dislike the guy!
  • Sammy Davis Jnr, very talented performer. Porgy and Bess was a classic musical, that demonstrated the natural and wonderful talent of the Afican Americans. They are the only ones that could perform such songs, dance movements and acting. Performances that will live on forever.
