In June, I have a layover in Cancun; on my way to Medellin. I hate, hate, hate to travel; but, your video calmed me down about circumventing the airport and boarding the ADO bus to the hotel. I take the bus in Colombia all the time and the ADO seems similar. Thx for taking the time to do that. Great, informative video . . . . .

Talking abouyt security. In May 2023 I arrived thru Terminal 4 and the over reaching baggage search was in progress for everybody except families with kids. In Sep 2023 I arrived in Terminal 3 and aftr I collected my bags I walked straight out. They were not searching bags at all. Friends who arrived and the same day I did they went thru Terminal 4 and they were thoroughly searched.

Thank you very much for this video. Very informative. I’m going to Mexico for the first time, and will be arriving before my family. It looks like there is food and drink available outside near the transportation which is relieving. I was worried about that. Is that the ‘meeting point’? I had read that this is a new feature they have? Also, did you go into the mini market by chance? Just curious if there is food there, and fresh fruits and veggies you can buy? Thank you.

Awesome video thanks for being very detailed ! So were only some people directed to go through the inspection zone? It seems like some people kept walking straight. Were the dogs smelling only the people that kept walking straight or did they go over and smell you too after already being searched?

I hear customs is charging an "electronic's fee" if you have more than one laptop. Is this true? Also, what about the FMM? is that paid when you buy the plane tickets online or is it paid at customs in Mexico (airport)?

The reason you got selected for security screening is you were filming. They did this to me last year. Turn your camera off unless you like to get searched.

When you're going through the red light/green light bag scan, do you have to go through a body scanner again as well?

When they checked your bags did they also screen your body during that process? and was it both your carry on and checked luggage they ran through?

Great video Lenny thanks for sharing! Quick question ya'all - We're planning to visit Cancun in March but US passport would expire in May. Do you (or anyone else) know if the "+180 Days" validity is required and will become an issue for us once at Cancun Immigration? We are staying just for 1-week vacation. Also, did anyone need to fill out "the FMM Form" for Mexican Immigration or is that a thing of the past?? Thanks for any info!

So one big reason that you may have been searched was that you panicked and held back when you saw all the dos and officers. That is what security considers furtive action.

I guess I’ll just drive through the border and get a domestic flight from Tijuana to Cancun. That airport customs looks too much.

Once you land in Mexico are there any metal detectors that check your body? Or are there only checking peoples bags and not their persons?
