  • If someone went on The Voice or American Idol or one of those shows and sang this note for note, including the loud bits, they’d get golden buzzer. Hands down.
  • Our day has come It's drawn in the sky So don't shed a tear now Be thankful for the time Life wouldn't be so precious dear if there never was an end Children still play in the garden Dance as the sun slips away We stand on the edge now We've come so far Through all the dust it becomes clear You will always be my heart There's no death, no end of time when I'm facing it with you Children still play in the garden Dance as the sun slips away Not even stars last forever Cleanse us Acid rain Stand near to me Don't look, be brave Over the blackened moon I'll carry you away Through the planets we fly Children still play in the garden Dance as the sun slips away Not even stars last forever Cleanse us Acid rain Send us home Send us home Send us home Send us home.

This sounds very different from what they usually do. It some how carries a more personal tone. It's like So Far Away, but with a different emotion attached to it.

Acid Rain, by Avenged Sevenfold, is a true masterpiece. The song is a ballad that showcases the band's incredible musical prowess and lyrical genius. This song is not just the best song of their entire discography, but it is also the best ballad of the decade. The emotive and soulful vocals of M. Shadows, combined with the haunting melodies and guitar riffs, create a sound that is truly unforgettable. The poetic writing in Acid Rain is simply stunning. The lyrics are powerful, thought-provoking, and filled with deep meaning. The song speaks to the idea of life being precious and how we should cherish every moment we have. The line "Life wouldn't be so precious dear if there never was an end" is a poignant reminder that we should live life to the fullest. The chorus of Acid Rain is a beautiful and ethereal moment in the song. The lyrics "Stand near to me, don't look, be brave / Over the blackened moon, I'll carry you away / Through the planets we fly" are truly mesmerizing. This song is a powerful reminder that love conquers all and that even in the darkest moments, we have each other. Acid Rain is not just the best song of Avenged Sevenfold's discography, but it is also a true work of art in the world of metal.

This was the first song i heard after my 16 year old cat passed away. He was my baby and i miss him everyday. This song makes me cry everytime i hear it. RIP Tigger.

How has this song not used in any apocalyptic movies yet??? The song itself deserves a movie of its own.
  • @dasboot7213
Does anyone else tear up when that solo hits?

I've lost track of the days but I'm still waiting for the children to get out my garden.
  • @Agent_Avo
When he sings "There's no death, no end of time when I'm facing it with you" it gives me chills
  • i dont get why people dont like the Hail To The King album i think its great just like how i think The Stage is I love where avenged sevenfold is going
  • @Leon.D14
"There's no death, no end of time, when I'm facing it with you" this line is 🔥🔥🔥
  • @BeefyBoyWonder
Made the mistake of looking up the lyrics...now I'm tearing up. IT'S SO EMOTIONAL
  • I've always loved the Goth aesthetic that this band has portrayed since the beginning. Some songs were straight up hauntingly beautiful, whereas others were raw, and emotional and filled with angst. I will forever be a longtime fan of A7X!
