My sister was kind to leave me a pot of tea. The trip into town was wet and foggy. I am grateful she and my brother-in-law have this home out in the woods. Makes it less likely that I will be in a place to be noticed, as opposed to living in a town or city. And the view out this small window looks through the trees and into the solitude, with only the occasional deer or fox nosing around. The kitty has been a comfort, as I miss my daughter. When I came into the nook this evening, she looked up from the bed and gave a soft meow, then returned to her slumbers. I wonder if my daughter is as comfortable in that boarding school in France. I do not like being so far from her, but right now, it is safer that she is there and I am here. As soon as I am called, I will return to Europe. I would like to have purchased a place in the States for us to live. My darling girl would have enjoyed the forests and small towns. It is a crowded city where she now boards. Ah, but a young lady needs her peers and the exposure and training the city can give her. And I would settle down, only to be called away again...
