There are some pretty decent thrift stores in Kansas city. The Waldo city area also has a few good ones, especially the City Thrift. My husband has bought some French cuffed dress shirts there that had Saville Road tailoring tags from London still on them. They fit him perfectly and were an amazing bargain. Bought a heavy vintage cast iron bistro table with a beveled glass top and chairs for our patio for $40. And i mean heavy. Good furniture as well as home goods. Savers thrift stores are also wonderful, we frequent the ones on the North end of KC near Liberty or on Barry Road. I saw someone in the comments mention Hillcrest thrift and I second that recommendation as well, they're outstanding!! Tons of furniture and the store is put together so nicely. We live one and a half hours north of KC and go there every few months. Glad to see somone giving KC thrift stores a shout out! Happy thrifting!

LOVE that runner!!

First time watching I love everything thanks for sharing

What great finds! I think I would have had to rent a truck to get that gorgeous dresser! They had so many nice pieces of furniture. The runner looks amazing in your bathroom! I live in Williamsburg, just outside of the Colonial area. I’ve walked past Kings Arms Tavern many times. Enjoy your pretty plates, that’s a great price.

Omg, I love those rustic looking chairs that were $15 a piece and the two older pieces of furniture, the chest and the dressing table were just beautiful.

If you could feed a string of small lights into that key ball would make a cool nightlight

Great finds.

Next time you are in Kansas City, look up Hillcrest Thrift Stores. There are several in the metro area. Definitely our favorite.

Are the vintage knives a match to the famous Corning pattern? Great haul. That oak dresser would have made it in the back of my van, if I’d seen it.

Is there a way to determine whether the teapot is stainless, gorgeous piece. Tanya, you mentioned you will be cleaning the rug. Could you share how you would go about that? I picked up a beautiful wool rug at a yard sale.

Share prices please !

Good luck with a 100% wool rug. Wool rugs shed really bad. I was constantly sweeping little particles. It was a good brand and an expensive rug that I really liked, just not that part of it.

Why wouldn’t you put where this store is? The KC area is really big.
