Old coldplay was just a different thing, another level.

My parents used to play this album on hot summer days when we were all hanging out outside by the pool. Food on the grill, drinks in hand, not a care in the world. They got divorced in 2010, and I got addicted to hard drugs 2nd half of high school. my dad passed away in 2016, when I was 90 days sober, and this album is one of the fondest memories I have of him. Thank you Coldplay.

This album makes me feel young and old at the same time
-
This was their peak
-
One of the best albums ever written
-
Parachutes, A Rush of Blood to the Head, and all the B-sides from that era is my favorite Coldplay material.
-
This album is a masterpiece, Sparks and Everything's not lost are its two climax, two peaks of contained emotion.
-
The perfect album for a rainy day
-
Absolute masterpiece, every time I listen to it, it gently takes me by the hand, and guides me to the most haunting, elegant and emotional sensory musical journey like no other. It should be cherished by humanity.

Sitting here, listening, reading comments, driven to tears. Tears roling down my cheeks because of this beauty, because this music means so much to me, to you.

This is the Coldplay i miss!! dont like the music they do right now
-
This is my go to Coldplay album. I’m a boomer. This was their best.

Holy shit! It takes me back to my 18 years! How nostalgic it is and how simply life was back then! Miss that time so much!!!

I remember seeing coldplay in a tent at t in the park in 2000. The 90s had just finished and music was morphing into something new and exciting, pulling all the sounds together from the last decade. I was 18 and had just started my apprenticeship, had started playing bass in my first group and was doing gigs, hanging out with mates, lads holidays, nightclubs, smoking weed, getting drunk and meeting girls. Good times with the world at our feet and all before everything was captured on smartphones!!

if you think that back in the 2000 this was "commercial" music... times have changed

One of my favorite albums of 2000. I actually still remember when it came out. I remember it being rainy out, autumnal, just like the sound of the record. After this and A Rush of Blood to the Head, they never sounded this way again. Kind of a shame. Still my favorite work by the band.

Listening to this album just hits you right in nostalgia train

Plays sounds cold for the soul. Comforting as a parachute crashing down on a globe of sunshine. I wanna fly and never come down.

Yellow, Trouble, Parachutes, High Speed. What a great combo of tunes that is.
