So happy that Eleyna has been feeling better over the last couple of video's. Loved this new release and wishing you all the best of health.

Weâre loving the slower pace, relaxed vibe from the recent videos guys! đ

Hi guys, been following since 2017 when you guys inspired me to learn to sail, buy a liveaboard and live my dream. I purchased a $10k 26ft sailboat in 2018 and then a 1980, center cockpit, sloop Roberts 36ft 'Walden' for AU$35k in 2020 and have been living aboard since sailing east coast of Oz. Have spent about 20K on various updates but things like new sails, tuned rigging, and tweaking how she sails in varying conditions have really enhanced boat performance from about a 4kn ave. to now about a 6kn ave. We chose the Roberts as it was very similar to a Martzcraft 35 which i loved the spacious, livable internal layout for at small mono. In future I would like to switch to a Cat for primary reasons, speed, shallow draft and deck space but will miss the warm wooden craftmanship and sailing comfort of older monos. Preferring the current episodes as your getting back to basics and being more relatable; reading clouds and using basic phone apps to navigate/weather etc.

We bought a 1971 Cascade 42 back in 2000 for $67,000 in Seattle WA and sailed it to HI where it has been ever since. It has been to all the islands. We put maybe another 20 K in it redoing the galley, new sails and rerigged twice since buying it. Built like a brick S$%t house with a MB OMB 636 diesel. We lived it on it for 4 months a year during the winter and then gave to our oldest son who has live in HI since 86. It was out this weekend.

I don't know if this has already been mentioned in the comments, but pour about 16oz of Dawn dish soap into your bilge, depending on the size and let it slosh around and clean your bilge. We always have Dawn dish soap in the bilge to keep it clean...Dawn is great for breaking down oily substances. You may be amazed at how well it works. Thank you for another great video...

2 months ago we bought a 42 foot cutter rig epoxy glass over Kauri Pine sailing yacht for 70k AUD on the Gold Coast Australia. We are moving aboard we love it so much. We hauled her out and did some minor repairs, nothing tragic and itâs a gem. With an average motor cruising speed of 6 knots and sailing max speed has been 11 knots, we are happy. If we could have afforded a multihull, sure we would have gotten one purely for space, but we may not of ever afforded one. So while sitting on the river enjoying the Fraser coast. We are thrilled with our gem and are so happy with our (well under 100k) boat â€

Glad you're doing better Elayna. Your videos are a great thing to watch on a Monday.

Thank you for the great content! We are in South Africa and I found your channel last year while on a two month safari in the middle of no where but we had satellite internet đ My husband and I have a safari company and we have an 18 month old with another on the way in October. Your channel made me realize that bringing up kids in a âdifferentâ way is perfectly ok, and they will be richer for it. We had a lot of judgement taking our 3 week old off into the African bush, and for not having the traditional baby room etc but rather moving baby from camp to camp. Thank you for being my inspiration in parenting! Keep up with the great content.

So happy that Eleyna is feeling better, after living through a major pandemic in the world and being a parent of kids - whether they are girls or boys, you've got major support from both sides of your families, and friends plus they've also got access to daycare when you've needed it, who do help you with the kids, I think once you're in the new catamaran you'll feel more settled in. And feel better. Looking forward to seeing the whales, whales have been in the news lately, bumping into boats.

Stellar!! Your editing and content is getting so much better. Itâs unbelievable it is so fluid. Itâs so real with feeling coming from real life real moments. Itâs so much better than reality TV. The editing is extraordinary at this point, keep it up. Thank you so much for the changes youâre going through to make this video so extraordinarily special and wonderful.

Great ep, loved seeing Forrest again too. The amount of experience youâve had is phenomenal and so well reflected as you navigate the Indonesian islands with so much confidence. Love seeing fellow Aussies do so well in a different environment â€

Hey Riley and Elayna I just came across the amazing journey that you two have shared and it's absolutely amazing. I've watched many hours of your adventures and have to say "that you are very blessed to be able to see our planet with your family in such and awesome way-keep this going - it is a very rare gift to share with your "first mate " and your children. You both seem to be wonderful loving parents and Elayna Malasma could never hope to overcome your beauty -GOD BLESS THIS WONDERFUL JOURNEY!!!
-
Love these vlogs brighten my day and get me relaxed before bed keep up the good work Riley and elayana

I remember from my days of sailing & Seasickness. The two fears of seasickness - First you fear that youâre going to die, then you fear you wonât! Glad to see Eleyna recovered speedily.

So love you guys! A long-time patreon, this was a really good installment! I watch purely for vicarious entertainment, I am in my 60s, I've done enough sailing on the Great Lakes of North America to generally understand the sailing situations discussed, we've raised 2 kids as well (though not on a sailboat!) and not likely to upend my life and buy a sailboat. That said, so much about this was great to see and hear. I love Riley's honest assessment of the boat and the different realities of sailing different design boats. And, not to keep you all too long, when Elayna said "I didn't think I would be the parent who put the kids in front of the I-pad..." welcome to parenting reality. We were very cognizant of the kids and their screen time when they were Lenny and Darwin's age and you have nothing (NOTHING, DO YOU HEAR ME?!) to be frightful of. It's a balance. You simply must balance them and you. And, for gawd sakes girl, you live on a sailboat! I jest, you are doing a remarkable job being parents and phenomenal content creators. Keep up the good work, whenever you can. Be well.
