We're Celebrating another beautiful collab between Suga & IU and I wanted to make it extra special by including People Part 1 but also throw some extra spice in there and include a song that was been suggested ever since I reacted to Daechwita... So here we are :) I try to cover as much as possible when it comes to refferences and throwback and meanings that I found on Genius while also trying to give my honest opinion and interpretation of all of these songs, hope you enjoy! Have a wonderful weekend!
  • Even though it makes me sad, we have to let Agust D go. At first I wondered why he'd end it with the thrilogy but after People PT. 2 I really understand him. Even though Agust D will always be a part of Yoongi, he's not overshadowing him anymore. We already saw him overtake Agust D a little bit in Daechwita but now he's fully embraced him and set himself free. Also People PT. 2 has some nice wordplay because People is 사람 in Korean (Saram/Salam) and Love is 사랑 (Sarang/Salang).
  • 18:37 btw I don't know if the connotation on genuis mentioned that but that line is a direct reference to one of his lines in cyper pt.3: "doesn't matter - man or woman, my flexible tongue will send you to hongkong" . so yeah, in the same song, he also called his rap skills "flowjob" so it's safe to say that he meant all of these things to be euphemisms a little bit haha.

Great reaction!! (And, yeah...Yoongi and his black Johnny Cash guitar!)
  • @subobing3551
I love your reactions. So intuitive. This is the first time I saw People’s lyrics. So great. And the new song is magnificent. Suga is really a great lyricists. They all seem to be so intellectual and in tune with their emotions. It makes for AMAZING BEAUTIFUL MUSIC

I am so happy that you use Genius - I love the new song, but I had to listen to it without watching the lyrics on screen in English. One of those times I so desperately wish I understood Korean properly. As always, an amazing reaction and thank you. I also love Yoongi's singing voice and hope we get more of it in the new album.
  • I don't believe you haven't heard Agust D (Song) nor People! to me, the first is a masterpiece of diss tracks! I love his sharp tongue 😅 My favorite song (by Suga) is People... I fell in love with his wisdom, he took his suffering and learned a lot with it, wise boy! (I'm 65) To me is so easy to understand the lines about ordinary vs special: we, ordinary people, can't do or have thing they can, but they aren't (weren't) able to enjoy an ordinary life. (Here in Brazil, we say that the grass is always greener in our neighbor's garden) Thanks for your always so deep analysis/reactions 💜💜💜💜💜
  • I wonder what you thought of the lyrics of IU's chorus. I read a comment this morning about the words being chosen to be deliberately ambiguous, with most of the words having multiple meanings.
  • Hello dear human! The order of the songs played today was so well chosen. From a feisty August D, to a calmer Suga and now to the wiser and confident Yoongi. It always takes me time to read into Yoongi's songs because he has such an ability to pull on one's emotional cords. I am still stuck on the visual of the video and I keep thinking on the episode when RM announced their upcoming hiatus. Yoongi seemed to be like the most calm, relaxed and smiling so so much. I am so happy to see that all his hard work, struggles, pain and tears are paying off. He is finally allowing himself to just be him. (RM's Do you has finally kicked in :D ). Yoongi has changed my whole perspective on life and I will forever be grateful to him. From showing me how privileged I am in my anonymity to knowing that is is alright to not have a big dream/goal in life and just do my best to leave happily and gratefully. Thank you for yet another insightful analysis. I could listen to you for hours. Both with and without glasses. The way it suits you best. Have a wonderful weekend and take care! :)

Yep, he has a Martin Johnny Cash Guitar since... some years? At least 2020. ^^ If you haven't, watch his birthday live T_T he played and sang and it was beautiful... and he left right away and never came back ¬¬ (he dropped the singing bomb and was too shy it seems xD)

I feel you about Eight… it’s not a song that I can always listen to because of the lyrics and meaning… but then again I feel the much the same way about Dear Name and Above The Time. As for Suga… I’m constantly blown away by how much talent he has in so many different areas of the industry… same with IU for that matter.
  • @angartsnirex
Dgggggg. I love the way you always talk about the lyrics, the emotions, the way you think. It's amazing.
  • yes it is precisely for this reason that Suga has a second stage name. when he is August D he can really speak his mind in an irreverent and trashy way. while when he is Suga he also says what he thinks but in a more consensual way. Suga like RM or even Changbin come from the traditional hip hop world as you know. and they have often been mocked or belittled by their seniors. it is for this reason that Suga is very aggressive in these remarks. normally I'm not a fan of this kind of song but with Youngi it's different I think I understand quite well what kind of man he is and I understand all that goes through because I've gone through it too in my environment professional. and like him, I'm doing quite well now, even if he obviously has enormous success in the music world, whereas my job is to be in the shadows and I love that.
  • Está canción es hermosa! No esperaba menos de Suga ! El es un ser muy sensible. Todos ellos han sufrido mucho la soledad. Esa sociedad que los está juzgado continuamente. Muy buena tu reacción. Gracias!

BTS are living legends and kings writing history in music industry in front of the whole world... they are now with #900awards,#28 guinnes world records, most streamed group of all time and 9th most streamed artist with 33B streams ,2020's most selling album with 5M sells, most viewed artist on Youtube with most viewed viewed video of 108M views in first 24hrs,#7 no 1 songs at billiboard top10 main single chart and many more..... Moreover they have broken #22 years record of The Beatles,#36 years record of Michael Jackson and #24 years record of Celine Dion and #5 years record of Adele ...now what do think about these achievements aren't proud of to be a part of their history writing and records breaking process ..I am so proud to be an army..OT7👑👑👑👑👑👑👑

By the way, regarding AgustD MV: Trailer=Industry/whole world at a point: The fact that he's on a moving trailer I take it as he was tied up, he himself has to try to escape with no help, since the world ain't stopping just for him. When he's done untying himself from set restrictions (you cannot be a rapper/idol/artist), everything falls down around him and things don't remain static, he gotta find his balance (now with no restraints). He looks out of the window to check where he's at, his surroundings. Finally, he opens the door (metaphorically!) and sees the world not through the window, but at the same level. After that, he just goes up the stairs and sits down... on top of the world/industry :) (I might be mistaken, but that's my interpretation of things). I always took the "STD" part as "I'm viral/highly contagious" ^^U PS. If you check Give it to me, it follows from this one and you see what happens with the trailer :)
  • I like how you breakdown the lyrics of the three songs coz i understood and appreciated the songs much better. Thank you for your amazing video reactions. Im happy i subscribed to your channel👌👏
  • @sagafri
Thank you, I hope you could dive even more into Agust D songs. They are raw, honest and beautiful.
  • @mochiluvr6753
I so enjoyed spending this time with you and hearing your thoughts. I love that you research the meanings and expand on them. You (and Suga and IU) really got me out of my own mind for a while and I thank you for that. It's been a day, one of those days.

there's this running gag about what suga wants, suga gets bc of them going to billboard shortly after rapping about it. same happened with the grammy, which unfortunately didn't work out
