I've gotten the lighting-frost fog Dyonisus cast once and it was genuinely terrifying to behold. You just drop casts and walk away and things die.

The idea of zagreus drunkenly running through the underworld killing everything in sight is awesome

Considering the fact that in some of the actual myths, Dionysius is the reincarnation of Zagreus, him having the most OP Boons are kind of a given.

I'm 4 minutes in and I just gotta say this all feels like if Hypnos was just more... agressive with Zag and also took the time to write down all his thoughts to recite to you the next time you died but he wouldn't do that, thats valuable napping time.

Seeing the way these builds just MELT bosses is wildly satisfying (and I WILL be trying these to finally get past Hades bc I'm like 40 runs in and took a break bc I couldn't get through his second phase 🙃🙃)

I was about to get mad on bashing Dionysus till Part s-Seven. the literal synergies from the duo boons are so good on any build (even ones that aren't the Aegis and Coronacht builds here). Dionysus lives up to his name whenever he shows up with the duo boons, and playing any run with them turns the run into party time with how fun and funny some builds become.

Thank you for the longer video. I realize that it took forever to edit, and I think I can speak for most people who watched it when I say that we appreciate it. I'm particularly grateful for the long content now, it's been a hellish few weeks capped off with an abysmal birthday, and this half-hour or so has definitely brightened the mood at least a little bit. Personally, though, of all the builds in Hades, my strongest tend to be with Aspect of Arthur. Just because with the right boons (usually Aphrodite, who seems to have the highest damage scaling in the game, ahead of even Athena and Poseidon) that sword SLAPS. And it's equally well suited to single target damage and clearing out crowds once you get used to the attack patterns. They may be very slow, but they hit like a freight train and they cover a huge area, and it doesn't matter if you're vulnerable if there's nobody left to be vulnerable to. Aspect of Arthur with a mostly Aph/Artemis build was what got me my 50 heat victory.

Other fun, sometimes easy builds: - Beowulf with Dionysus on the Cast: There's a bug in the game where pom upgrades on the cast don't diminish *specifically for this combination*. Auto generating casts + chaos cast + (if you're lucky artemis legendary) and all poms go on your cast for massive damage - Spear with serrated edge and poseidon on the attack, zeus on (not the cast), and then sea storm. 180 damage per dash + poseidon attack and either of the various buffs for all the goodies. Bonus points for as big a double strike as you can get. - All of the zeus on zeus shield because it's in the name and also kinda plays itself in the same way as dionysus does - Arthur with artemis and just do all the damage. Alternatively, Rama with artemis, and do the same. - Achilles spear with literally any cast, all the money in the cast. Kinda can't mess this one up. - Chiron with all the zeus (especially zeus special), or with poseidon special + sea storm again, but you need double strike because of how the lightning bolt timer works.

he got me in the first half. Dionysus is by far my favorite god, and I was shocked to hear him slandered like that. Also, I'm surprised the spear didn't make it, since a hammer plus a dionysus attack to make him a stabby poison boi works wonders.

I honestly think it should be illegal to be both this funny and this smart about a video game at the same time keep doing this you do one hell of a job have a good one

Love this video! I noticed that there’s no spear build, so I figured I’d post one here that worked pretty well for me. Basic Zagreus aspect works here. The build is centered around an Ares special and Aphrodite attack, as well as the Chain Skewer upgrade from the Daedalus Hammer. Impending Doom from Ares is also helpful, and if you can get Curse of Longing, definitely take it. Artemis cast and Athena dash are nice, and also as much crit that you can cram in here. The strategy for this build is pretty simple: As soon as you enter a room, use your special to apply Doom to all enemies. Use your attack to have two status effects if you have the percent buff from the mirror, then hit everyone with the special again. That’s the gist of the playstyle. Sorry for the text wall, but I hope this is helpful for people who want to use Varatha!

Aspect of Chiron is honestly just one of the best in the game for pretty much any build. If you see something that gives Special Damage without replacing anything stack it on and watching things perish.

Great game choice I loved Hades. Put about 220 hours in and go to heat 20 with most weapons along with the 100%, really really good game

Dionysus truly makes a run drunk with power
