I love how a parole board expects you to have a place to stay after being locked up for 25 years.... yea let me just get on the jail phone and get a lease on an apartment with the job I don't have

  • I praise God daily for His Mercy & Grace. I too was a lifer; in 2015 I paroled after doing 24 years of a 30 - life sentence. I was on Salinas Valley C yard back in 1996-1997. Blessings to you bro🙏

Good luck to you Rick. I hope that you read this post. I'm afraid to say my man that your struggles are just beginning. Don't fall back into it. Stay tight with the parole people and utilize everything that they can give you and do for you to make sure that your life on the out as a success. Good luck my brother.
  • I was released from Soledad on October 31, 2013. Still here doing good. It’s a struggle after decades I’m doing it tho.

I grew up on Gloria Rd. which is a mile south of the prison. In those days they had a big farm and the inmates grew their own vegetables and meat. There was auto repair, construction, welding, and college programs-all kinds of rehabilitation programs. Now we keep them in cages for 23 hours a day. Even the zoo's can't confine animals in this way. It makes them go crazy.
  • I actually met Rick and spent most of my 20 s in this prison ,he wouldn't hurt a fly ,hes a grown man who took responsibility for his actions and no hes not back in prison.Hope you never commit any mistakes cause then you'll know what it is to loose everything and be buried alive is.
  • This guy, Rick Cadriel, lived in A2, which is the building that I worked in. He’s a good man and I truly do hope he’s safe and doing well. Everything he said on here about finding Christ is exactly what he told me, too. I hope you’re doing well, Rick! Be safe and stay strong!!!
  • I know so many. Good people locked up for many years I pray he has the help the support even to this day it is hard in the free world God Bless I hope you are happy
  • Great Man you did the talk now do the walk which is 100 times harder but if you make it the rewards are endless make God keep blessings you.
  • Just remember, give your problems to Jesus in faith. Don't worry, all will be fine!
