valve also uses that 30% to do things that benefit the whole gaming industry, like proton, and steamvr

Valves in trouble. They're about to get my money
-
Prime example of companies sucking at what they do because of their own greed and instead of improving they get jealous of companies that do it right so they sue them instead lol
-
Nothing is stopping other game stores from selling on the steam deck, they just dont want to port to Linux, Microsoft Xbox created cloud compatibility and wrote the command for controller support for cloud gaming immediately. Steam also allows third party launchers, I don't see where the suing party has standing that they're injured by valve.

Steam is the best storefront. Could it be better? Of course it can. Which means Steam's competition should just get better; if they can't, we shouldn't try to torpedo Valve for making a better product.

steam is just the BETTER platform... and i guess its to good..

I think the first issue that this lawsuit has is first calling the steam deck a "console" since in reality it is a "hand-held form-factor full blown personal computer" much like a laptop, but smaller. And even a fair number of the user community for the steam deck also forget that it's an actual computer, and not a console since a fair number have never even realized the "switch to desktop" option is even there. A "console" has no mechanism to run as a personal computer, it can only play games for the gaming company that it is sold by.
-
So, companies get pissed because consumers save some money by shopping around..? Smh
-
0:45 Who the heck calls water by there brand lol. “I spilled some Aquafina on my shirt excuse me”
-
Such a stupid lawsuit, it’s not Valves fault every other PC storefront sucks
-
Also what an energy shift going into gameplay recording lol

Makes me wonder how much the lawyers make. Is it around 30% maybe? Steam is also one of the main platforms for supporting Linux gaming and has done for years. Apart from GOG, I don't think any other platform has bothered to even try to support Linux gaming.
-
I’m a lawyer n I hate that law is misused to chase something good being done. I play on steam I practically rebuy games on steam simply coz of the overall experience. Steam has hurt piracy unlike any other service coz of the sales. N shame on those who r abusing consumer ignorance to make money for themselves

at least they have insane sales during winter and summer
-
I too have a drinking problem 😂
-
Hey homie love your channel. Question. With the your past experience do you think steam deck will go on sale this steam summer sale? I been holding off until then to get me a deck. What do you think?
-
whats with the Alyx gameplay?
-
You misunderstood the price parity. The accusation is that Steam are using their market dominance (and thus the almost necessity to put the game on Steam) to make sure that it can't be cheaper anywhere else if it is on Steam .... thus there is no market competition drive for users to switch to another platform because it is cheaper. I like Steam, but competition is good as it drives innovation so I think Steam should be able to charge their 30% but should not be able to force games to be sold at that same (inflated) price elsewhere.
