Absolutely hero. When I was 15 I emailed Michael to tell him how big a fan I was of his art and he changed my life by sending me some signed art books and Roger stickers - this was my first time connecting with someone I looked up to and it really motivated me to pursue my passions.
  • Sieben rules! When I was a kid in school, that was one of my favorite parts of Thrasher

  • Hi all! Jason Georgiades here, the editor for this episode. The name of the song at the end is from Mike Aho's band Sounder and the track is "This Nothing." It appears during Michael's video part for Roger Skate Co's "Water Spirit" video on Thrasher's site: https://youtu.be/61vXtS7cc84?si=HztBEvUQdwB2wPqx&t=385. Thanks for watching!

  • @thunderwood
I've seen so many of these murals around Austin and didn't know that they were connected to skaters. Great artist and skater!
  • I grew up on Thrasher in the early 2000's. Sieben's articles and artwork were always highlights. I'll always remember his article about him skating around Austin with Ben Gilley getting drunk on SPARKS and the banana Farm Freakout article. Also his article on his shoe collection and tee shirt rotation🤣 Love Sieben, man
