I received a comment on the original video from a viewer asking about the fan and how loud it is in normal use conditions
I thought I'd carry out a test in the hope to answer that viewers question.
I set the fan five feet from myself and my camera whilst having my television on and playing a fireworks video of mine to add some realistic background noise which you'd have if using this fan in the summer months to cool yourself while in the lounge
My honest evaluation of the tests that I carried out:
If I had a much larger room / lounge and was able to have the fan set up further away than five feet I don't personally think it would be an issue.
with a smaller room and the size of this 16" fan the volume of airflow and motor sound becomes overpowering.
I also tested my trusty Honeywell turbo fan from 5 feet away on speed three which was not a problem and nor was it loud
you could also use the fan on a coffee table or side table in a closer location without the sound or overpowering airflow.
